My son is stationed at the military base in Yuma. He’s interested in prospecting. I’m in north eastern New Mexico and have found a little gold in the Red River area. Thanks for the video!

I enjoy your stories Bill! Is that site near a railroad? Didnโ€™t the railroad have lots of Asian workers back in the 1800s?

Love them old stories. My girl friend wanted a new car for her birthday,so she shopped around and found this little red coupe 0-160 in less then 20 seconds. Anyway she kept bugging me so,I finally went down to the local Wal-Mart and got her a new bathroom scale. And so now….

I enjoyed hearing about your experiences in Yuma ! I hope to find a small, small place around Wittman to spend some winter months as a home base for my prospecting adventures. My wife has never seen the desert. I grew up in southern Ca. and my dad had bought a few acres around Kingman and we visited an aunt and uncles in Phoenix so I have been drawn to the desert snce I was a kid. ! Take care and thanks for sharing your knowledge on nugget detecting. Wishing you continued success with lots of color !

That gro pro really would have come in handy that day down there ๐Ÿ˜ I drive to Yuma in a semi Wednesdays and Fridays and come back up 95 by the big military base and always wonder how much gold may be laying in that property ๐Ÿ˜ฒโ›๏ธ

  28. Rick Taylor on November 9, 2021 at 4:12 am

Hey Bill, I enjoyed your story about the Laguna Placers. I live in Yuma and have been to the placers many times. Very little luck there but I sure enjoy trying. I use a Whites MXT but I like what I see in the ML GM 1000. Keep the adventures going and best wishes for lots of gold, coins, and relics.

    Chinese Ben Wah balls!

  30. Tom Shively on November 9, 2021 at 4:13 am

Great story and really cool Chinese bell!

  31. Jay Gresham on November 9, 2021 at 4:13 am

I was in the Navy and there’s nothing I like better than "Good ole’ Yarn" to pass the time with coffee in the morning !
    I’ve seen those Chinese
"Boading" balls in Hong Kong and were a traditional practice older than the "Great Wall" ! You should find the other one ! I was told they were used for meditation by rolling them in your hands, the ringing/chiming is a way to center your mind and relax yourself. No better way I can think to ease back, cool drink in hand, from scrubbing around in desert an allow the ol’ muscles time to rejuvenate.
Love the stories, we usually spend winters in Quartzsite and the Lugana Hills area will be on the list. Thanks ! Tell us more ! Keep’um commin’ cause I’m, I’ll be watchin’ ! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž

  47. Alex Nutu on November 9, 2021 at 4:33 am

Arenโ€™t those the Chinese balls they roll in their hands for like meditation or like a hand exercise? My father had a set of those heโ€™d roll them in his hands after he typed a lot or used his hands for some work

  48. Justin on November 9, 2021 at 4:33 am

I recently purchased the gold monster 1000, only to realise all the gold fields around me are closed or are privately owned/leased. So I have decided to use it for coins and relics. My question is what depth do I get with the gold monster and will it pick up treasure targets good?
