How do you calculate CO2 emissions from coal?
Carbon dioxide emissions per ton of coal were determined by multiplying heat content times the carbon coefficient times the fraction oxidized times the ratio of the molecular weight of carbon dioxide to that of carbon (44/12).
When the tough questions get asked, turn off the camera 🤣🤣 coal is only one problem that causes pollution. You could stop coal use tomorrow and the effect stopping coal use and mining would be very negligible.

When Mt. St. Hellen erupted it negated any reduction of CO2 produced by man. Volcanos, earthquakes, and the Sun itself are by far the greatest contributors to Climate Change. There were glaciers over Michigan 10,000 yr ago and Man had nothing to do with their retreat. Yes, responsible use of our Earth’s resources is in order, but major contributors by Man toward climate change is not based on any sound science.

The real enemy of coal mining in the U.S. are not the politicians or elites that speak out against it. Instead, it’s the economic use of natural gas to generate electricity. Wonder how this "world’s biggest mine: Inside US coal" is doing now. Nobody seems to know!

Global warming is a Boogeyman invented by global elites in the letters of Rome. Since the Grand Solar Minimum is now on progress, it has been changed to ‘climate change’. They cry and whine about coal but have no answer on what to use to replace it…And don’t say wind and solar, they aren’t even remotely close to being able to keep up with the power output of coal. Technology has not advanced to the point of eliminating coal, we need to work on cleaning up the emissions from the coal boilers, that will be a way to keep what we need and help the environment.
