Which State Is Forrest Fenn's Treasure In?

After an intense study of Forrest Fenn the man, I’ve used some deductive reasoning to localize the only two areas in the Rockies Fenn could have possibly loved enough to hide the treasure in.

Unless he is keeping a dark secret from everyone, the treasure beyond a reasonable doubt is NOT in Colorado. If you are still searching Colorado, find a new state.

I’m late to the party also, found out about the treasure this past July. Anyway, after seeing the Playboy Magazine interview on YouTube, I believe National Parks and National Forests are out of the picture because of the legality of finding something in those areas. Anything found must be turned in. Whoever finds the treasure will probably find a note from Fenn inside, giving instructions on how to proceed from there. What do you think?

Just subbed. You seem like a smart dude. Have you done a video with the topographic maps laid over each other? I would like to see the outcome of that cause I know Forest said some kind of trees were near by and that he could walk to the spot from where he parked his car

When i first started in the search i was convinced Wyoming Yellowstone, West Yellowstone or Montana but then i became objective and started looking at fenn constant contradictions slips of the tongue and misdirection’s i started looking at facts and reasons as to why he couldn’t have hid it Wyoming Yellowstone, West Yellowstone or Montana etc, it drew me to closer to New Mexico closer to his home , just some reasons i believe its in NM.

*Fenn originally said north of Santa fe because he didn’t want anyone digging up his yard or someones across the road from him because they where complaining to him that some guys where digging up there yard

    1. He never had a plane at the time he hid the treasure, if he had hid it in say Yellowstone he would have had to drive to Yellowstone so there would be no reason to hire a car ??? as he would have had his own car right in the Cody interview he told the guy he drove there for that interview 800 and something miles ???.

    2. He wont tell anyone the day he hid the treasure or how old he was because but he openly said that the car was hired in the collected book store interview, why would he make such a statement and give such a priceless clue that the car was hired knowing that this information could be so easy to track down ??? that was just a misdirection from fenn.

    3. He originally said dont go where an 79- 80 year old man cant go with a 42lb chest then everyone started realizing that a 42lb chest would be hard to carry for the average person, then the story changed to i made two trips when i hid in one afternoon, he said he hid it in one afternoon and it took a few hours.

    4. He has said that when he hid the treasure that if he was sorry the next day he could go back and get it because he had a pull cart.

    5. You have to be objective to everything he has said, dont believe everything he has said you have to fact check and cross reference everything from one interview to the other, same goes with emails, questions and answers he has participated in with the media and searchers.

Research on multiple search engines yahoo, bing, google msn etc and other search engines because they all have different content regarding the fenn treasure hunt google loves to store cookies of your search algorithms and only show you personalized content for there advertising purposes for the key words you search for therefore limiting what google we ever show you, delete cookies before searching for new content

Read fenns emails he has sent to searchers
Read the forums going back as far as you can
Listen to the audio, podcasts and radio interviews
Listen to news articles back from the early days
    Watch you tube videos

Research fenn life as boy and and as an adult
    Native American Indians
    Native American pueblos
    Native American artifacts
    Yellowstone
    West Yellowstone
    Military past
His passions And where his heart has always been are two different things

I’m a former political speechwriter. My degree is in Journalism. So, words have been my life. I’m a Fenn newbie but I believe I have some very sound solutions to the clues. My problem is that I now live in Asia and with the travel complexities an all. Don’t expect to be in North America any time soon. Anybody have any advice?

Just an FYI if you’re looking for the treasure in a national forest: "1.Searching for treasure trove: Treasure trove is defined as money, gems, or precious metals in the form of coin, plate, or bullion that has been deliberately hidden with the intention of recovering it later. This activity requires a Special Use Permit under The Act of June 4, 1897 (16 U.S.C. 551). Forest Service Manual 2724.4 states “allow persons to search for buried treasure on National Forest System lands, but protect the rights of the public regarding ownership of or claims on any recovered property.”

I really like your analytic approach to the Chase. Sub’d.

Fenn said to ‘simplify’. Get to it folks..

If GNP was his special place why would he mention it? Derp, I would mention every other place to throw you off before I mention the place to go…Which is exactly what he did in every chapter of his book. Mentioned all these places so people focus on them and not the actual place. You can’t be serious can you? lmfaoI honestly think the dude is full of shit and never hid anything for people to find. If he did hide it the only way anyone will every find it is if he dies by it. There are to many lies  and bullshit. The very first page in his book says its his 9th book, the very last says its his 8th, he could not have hid the treasure in 2009-2010 because he said 79-80 years old (15 years after he found out he had cancer in 1988 puts it at 2003) he wasn’t 79 or 80 in 2003, I can go on and on but I honestly don’t feel like it…Good luck

  12. EPHRAIM 27 on August 12, 2022 at 7:45 pm

F.F. also stated that it may be 1,000 years before its found. So maybe he did hide it in a State that he doesn’t mention often.

  13. Mark Conner on August 12, 2022 at 7:45 pm

1st you need not to know FF at all.
2nd its a place he has never mentioned.
3rd Clues are in order , but you better know what and where Hob is before you can start at WWWH.
4th the book is the MAP

5th it will be found soon 🙂

  14. EPHRAIM 27 on August 12, 2022 at 7:52 pm

Wrong, F.F. stated that the treasure is at "least" 8.25 miles North of Santa Fe. He did not say that it was 8.25 miles away from Santa Fe.

Well you are sitting upright and your eyes look wider, that’s improvement! So basically you have narrowed it down to the two most popular search areas. There are about 10,000 hydrothermal features in YNP. But I do think you are on the right track…

  16. Aurora Peace on August 12, 2022 at 7:59 pm

Forrest Fenn mentioned in his book girl Dolores, and there is Dolores River in Colorado. Whatever you might make of it. 🙂
