The drought emergency in the west stretches beyond California. The water level in Nevada’s Lake Mead is at a record low of about 37 percent. John Blackstone reports on how the nation’s largest man-made reservoir is now bursting with surprises for history buffs.

You know, we’ll build pipes to pump oil across states, why don’t we build a WATER pipeline across the US to feed these places that are dying for water, from the east coast where they are getting drowned with water. How’s that for a infrastructure modification. They could dump some on the farms on the way also, ensuring plenty of food.
