  19. ACE on May 7, 2022 at 8:04 pm

These guys are like undisciplined children. Who finds a glass treasure and then tosses it over rocky terrain to his buddy? They need a more serious mindset, delicate extraction tools, wearable tracking sensors and maybe survival basics like water — you know, in case one of them is dumb enough to get lost wandering through an abandoned mine all by himself, just before sunset…

  20. David Cooper on May 7, 2022 at 8:05 pm

A buffalo nickel is the same size as a regular nickel. All those coins were probably silver or gold. Maybe copper and brass/Bronze.
    The shovel was probably surplus.

  46. Hebrew Loc on May 7, 2022 at 8:32 pm

Here’s a little fyi for you Heavy D, the $1 coins are Silver dollar coins however the $1 bills that say Silver Note in top are exactly that, a Silver Note, back before Roosevelt partially removed us from the Gold & Silver backed US currency our money was backed literally by gold and silver, and if you wanted too you could have gone into a bank with your $1, $5, $10, $20 & $50 gold & silver notes and trade it in for the same amount in the denomination shown on the bill worth of real gold or silver, this was true up until Roosevelt changed all that and then Nixon moved us completely to a credit/faith based currency, I learned about Gold & Silver Notes from a job I had at a liquor store, I used to help the owner who was also a good friend count and bind up money to take to the bank, one time while going through the money I watched him toss a bill off to the side then another and later on a couple more, once we finished the count and before we put the paper money binders on, he counted up the bills he had taken out then pulled out his wallet and replaced that amount with updated bills, I asked him what was that about and he explained to me about the Gold & Silver notes, then told me they are very valuable when brought into a bank, now days they trade in for the accumulated amount of value, which starts with the $ amount of the bill, the year it was printed and put into circulation and what metal backs the bill(Silver or Gold), knowing these will give you the amount the bill is worth, so I’m just guessing but lets say the Silver Note was made in 1925, and it’s a $1 bill, the bank will look up how much silver was going for back in 1925 and how much silver in weightt would you get for $1 back then, then they’ll take that amount of silver in weight and see how much you would get selling now, and since silver has quadrupled since the 20’s a $1 Silver Note is probably worth about $5-$7, Gold Notes work on the same bases however Gold has gone way way way up compared to Silvers modest amount of ×4, Gold has gone up by 350% since the 1920’s a $5 Gold Note is probably worth about $425 in today’s values.

  47. MaryLight. Keep looking up. on May 7, 2022 at 8:37 pm
