Guys, I really hate to be the Debbie Downer. But you can tell that this was probably a burial ritual of a cremated veteran and they buried some of their most treasured possessions there and then probably spread their ashes. There’s no real value to burying a few coins an a shovel and an old carving, fork and knife set. I really hope you left those belongings there. I’m my opinion, it was a tiny memorial. Clearly can’t tell if they spread ashes or anything like that. But my best guess was it was a local veteran who passed away and the friends and/or family took up some of their favorite and most memorable items and buried them in probably their favorite spot to come sit and camp or just meditate or spend time at. Side note I’m commenting without reading any other comments so I don’t know if anyone else’s pointed this out yet. The decay on the quilts and leather couldn’t be more than about 40 to 50 years at the most. Definitely not an old minor burying their treasures. That’s just the vibe I got from how everything was wrapped up and buried. This was 90% likely a memorial for a veteran that had passed away.
why would anyone want to bury any of that stuff?? lmfao

Metal detectors there just as good as the pricy one’s.
Fake as Hell…
There’s a mine under where you were digging that I explored in the late ’90s. I found a newspaper dated 1957. Miners would have been all over that area in the ’40s and ’50s.
I’ll sub if You remove your finger from the mic 😜
