I live in Vernal and it sucks. If you love Vernal that’s great but personally I don’t care for Vernal or the Uintah basin. If I had the money I would so move some where else

So I have the chance to transfer to Vernal and so I thought I’d check out rentals and homes for sale in the area. Well, according to Zillow.com there are NO rentals in Vernal! And when I looked for houses in the range I could afford all there is are pieces of crap that are WAY overpriced and would need another 50 grand in remodeling. So , yes Vernal, you are the 5th fastest growing micro-city in the U.S. and it didn’t take long for your residents to try to cash in on it. Don’t know how young families even survive in this country anymore.

A region Dominated by outdoor recreation? It should be mentioned that those recreational dollars are under threat by the increased pressure from the extractive Energy industries. Would it also be fair to mention that the air quality in Uintah Basin is heavily impacted by the emissions from this development? And that the global economy has a major impact on the presence or lack of Jobs. They can pull out at a moments notice. To sustain any kind of economic viability for all the local business owners who benefit from outdoor recreation, then the county economic development better get behind land protections. You currently have more wells then people in your county, do you really need that much more?
