Two Abandoned Mines in Acton, Ca

Los Angeles County Mines #14:

In this video I explore two abandoned mines in Acton, California. I do not know the names or history of either of these two mines, but they were most likely gold mines. The first mine consisted of a large open cut with a short adit. At the back of the adit there were two spooky skeletons. I don’t know whether they were the remains of miners or explorers, but it’s obvious they didn’t heed the warning sign outside the mine. Also in the cut was a very short tunnel.
The second mine site had three adits and one shaft. The lowest adit went in for about 200 ft, and it had a bunch of white minerals growing on the walls. The second adit was about 25 ft. long. There was a small 10 ft. adit above this that I did not film. Right by the mine was an abandoned Isuzu Trooper. I can’t understand how it was even driven up there. Across from the adits was a shallow shaft.

Did you call someone about the bones, or were they props? They looked real to me, but then I am not a forensic scientist.

Awesome. I like hiking, & exploring. I know the mines r in Acton, but u didn’t give directions to the trailhead, if there’s a trailhead, or where u started, or how to get to the mines.

Do you ever come across mammals living or roaming inside? Love the vids, while some of us would love to do this but a bit timid to do so.
