Treasure Hunting the Caballo Mountains of New Mexico for Spanish Treasure Signs
Treasure Hunting the Caballo Mountains of New Mexico for Spanish Treasure Signs
A trip in the spring of 2009 to the Caballo Mountains and the Jornada Del Muerto. Enjoying looking for Spanish markers and enjoying the area.
George. I live in the Denver area. If you want to visit, 303-659-3319
I know a spot close to albuquerque. My very good friend found a gold coin.
great
Sorry video was too blurry n couldn’t see a single sign
Great video, I love the choice of background music. I live about 50 miles from the Caballos and go there often to explore and detect. I’ve seen a few markers but no luck finding much to speak of. I’ve never seen the heart marker or the man with one eye closed but I’ve seen a few of the brown stone markers. Im interested in any marker rocks such as the cross with X, the one eye stone or heart markers. Im searching bat cave canyon this spring. If you come this way again let me know. Happy Hunting!
Las marcas de una tortuga dibujadas o esculpidas en piedra, según la dirección de la cabeza, y el número de patas, indicaría la distancia de un tesoro o una mina de oro!!
The music is awful!!!! I had to mute it after 10 seconds. Poor video quality.
The only treasure hidden in or around the Caballo Mountains are the gold bars Doc Noss hid there. Good luck!
I live in Pecos NM, I’ve been into metal detecting and treasure hunting for many years. I plan on going to Elizabethtown in a couple weeks to do some metal detecting. If anyone has any ideas of good spots to search and would like a trustable partner then let me know. I would love to go on hunts with someone.

Yes, the quality is bad, sorry. At that time I didn’t have a good camera. I will try to to find the photographs, I misplaced the camera and they are markers. The one soldier was first found by me in 1962 and I have a B/W photo of it. That was 50 years ago. This photo and the B/W look the same. No one has messed with them. I will also email the GPS so you can go look at them.
great vid bud!
video section frame 7:31 shows a man carved on a rock with one eye open one eye closed, with a straight line under right eye indicates gold below and to the right,
very interesting carving very prominent sign
@JamesFariello It’s not necessary, but I would like you to find what your looking for, there was other symbols I recognized, the big heart tells me it’s the 2nd part of the same treasure I was hunting, I live in Brownwood Tx,
how fare away are you
Interested in the Trans-Pecos Ratsnakes from this area. Would be glad of any help finding one or more.
the word ORO means gold
Love that music
It’s called the trail of broken hearts
Your video quality sucks can’t see anything besides all of those markers you claim, most of your descriptions are incorrect
the only thing you’ll get there is bit in the arse by a rattlesnake, and a bad sunburn. It’s a hellhole…
