TOXIC MINE EXPLORATION (Gilman, Colorado)
TOXIC MINE EXPLORATION (Gilman, Colorado)
In today’s adventure, someone explores an abandoned mine that was shut down due to it releasing toxins in the water and poisoning the population that lived above it. The site is currently being cleaned up by the EPA and is listed as a superfund site. I was sent this footage from an anonymous person

Hey! I’ve been to Gilman 3 times but never saw the yellow crashed car. Where’s that?
The boys were very brave to explore into the mining shaft. I’m sure they must be students from the Colorado Mining School!?
Bro such an awesome video! Being from CO myself I actually never heard of or seen this place. Keep it up! 👊🏽🙏🏾
Spending the night there next🔥
Lumber so much lumber must be worth millions lol
I lived in minturn and explored Gilman and belden extensively. This town is belden. These kids are reckless idiots. Why they’re wearing masks while they’re endangering their lives in so many other ways is a testament to idiocy.
Nice place , but who goes to a mine , without waterproof foot wear lol .
hey will, sick video. i checked out gilman last summer but i never went down to the bottom of the hill by the water and the tracks. i really wanted to check out the tracks that went into the mountain. was it easy getting up the hill?
Not gonna lie. The scenes of you guys exploring the dark caves in the mines felt like it came from a horror game XD. Spooky shit
Well done bro. So many different kind of shots and the humor was 🔥😅
Very nice video, thank you. I will look for this mine when I’m in CO this spring. Take care and stay safe
I really appreciated many of the views of the mine facility. Going into the mine shaft was ill advised, however. In some abandoned mines there may be insufficient breathable oxygen present. The masks being worn are of no value in that condition. Operating mines have ventilation systems to bring fresh air into the mine tunnels. Coal mines can have toxic gases, but in hard rock mines the greater danger is the lack of available oxygen rather than toxic gases.
I’m here right now and we wanna go in just heard a lot about people getting in trouble
Hey Will! Thanks for the video, Im looking for Suzanne Morphew. She is a missing person from Maysville Colorado, it is believed her husband Barry Morphew killed her and hid the body. There is a dead period between from when he comes home at 2:47pm to 10:15pm, this mine is 1 hour and 45 minutes from that home. Barry Morphew had an odd reaction to when told he could have put her in an abandoned mine. This mine is one of the mines that makes sense where he could have hid her. You think you could explore this mine more?
Cool mine site, and I’m glad ya’ll got to see it. The town is worth checking out if you get back there.
Good job, gentlemen. If you intend to keep up the mine exploration invest in some Fenix flashlights and one of those camera stabilization dohickys. I enjoyed it and subscribed.
Watch out for asbestos exposure
I’m planning a trip there tomorrow. What do y’all think is the risk of getting caught?
Love this place! Did you guys go to the town up above???
I used to drive past Gilman every day on my way to my job in Vail from Leadville.
Doesn’t cut out the name😂
Also what is that Rio Grand thing at 16:45?
Hipsters with their pretty white tennis shoes, mine exploring. What could go wrong ?
I’m from Compton be careful
It’s a copper mine. Nothing toxic here but the title.
