So my question is what did he do with that 240,000? Some say he shipped it off?

I’m nearly 70 years old but still I never get tired of listening to these old stories…. I’ve even been known to tell a story or two of me own over the years… LOL… Yep this old bike has a few stories, My only problem is I have a bad habit of stretching the truth a wee bit… And yes I know that’s flat out lying so to stand as a man of God I had to stop telling my stories until I can learn how to tell to whole truth of a story and make it still sound good… LOL

What a great resource for classroom materials, especially when discussing fables and tall tales! Loved it.

Cool version but just that. Lots of liberties, hey.

I always love hearing editions of this story! I actually wrote an Action/Adventure book similar to Indiana Jones and the first chapter has the main character searching for the Dutchman’s Mine. It was fun trying to put my own spin on an already revolving story. Feel free to check it out…https://www.amazon.com/Baetylus-Stone-Michael-Lee-Morrison-ebook/dp/B079DXM1D7/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1519924771&sr=8-1&keywords=the+baetylus+stone

The matchbox ore doesn’t match ore from the Vulture, so Waltz’s gold didn’t come from there.

Yes a fable and tale is what it is. There is no such thing as the Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mind.
