The Search For The Sunken Dutch Treasure Ships | Search For Sunken Treasure | Timeline
Much of the west coast of Australia was discovered by accident when Dutch treasure galleons ploughed into its fringing coral reefs and left chests of gold and silver on the coral floor.
Ben Cropp has discovered hundreds of shipwrecks, including the famous Pandora of Bounty fame but there are thousands more still hidden in a watery grave. For example, its believed the Japanese pirate Yamada Nagamasa buried his enormous loot on Magnetic Island. It is rumored to be worth $100 million, and has never been found. Ben finds a strange symbol carved in a prominent rock on Magnetic Island, opposite the only bay a ship could safely anchor in. Is this symbol the proverbial x marking the spot?
So what became of all the gold and silver that fate often cruelly snatched from its rightful owners? Some were recovered, some lost forever, but much still remains for the intrepid treasure hunter who is prepared to research the facts, sift through the legends, and give it a try.
Ben’s film will take us around Australia to where these sunken treasures lie.

Silly that, having to put the items back in the sea.
i dont know that if a Japanese pirate would be using western surveyor’s symbol’s
need new narrator
really enjoyed this video, so so cool
What utterly contrived garbage !!!
The diving helmet was a plant. But gotta commend him for bringing bikini girl on the trip.
Meanwhile, back at the same anchor, a new shipwreck.
Yeah no way that helmet would come out that easy
I luv this dude what a hero !!!
🏴☠️ A Pirate’s life for us all 🏴☠️
He walks straight towards the helmet and pulls it up with no caution so it was planted there
He needs a metal detector.
This guy is such a BS artist…
This guy’s ego.. I just can’t.
Ben Cropp has all of his films on Youtube with way less adds…
As a fellow diver these people are making me SO MAD. The first thing you are taught is LEAVE THE FISHES AND CORAL ALONE, but these guys are turning over anything thats not stuck to the seafloor. They are even physically pulling the fishes out of their hiding places so they can film them. WHAT IN THE NAME OF NEPTUNE DO THEY THINK THEY ARE DOING?! These people aught to be arrested
That guy sure knows his history one the sunken ships of the area, to bad they cant sell the coins
fraud family
I enjoyed this video, thanks for posting it. This guy is pretty knowledgeable I would go diving or treasure hunting with this fellow any day. Does anyone know of any more videos with this guy in them???
Dumb Australian laws. They would rather the treasure stay at the bottom of the sea then be of some use and value to somebody. Whatever Politicians made that up I really don’t like
Salt
How lame
What’s the point of even looking for Treasure, if the Government is gonna just take it from you?
He has a speech impediment
DEBILNE REKLAMY 🤮🤮🤮🤬🤬🤬👹👹👹💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
I wonder how many people take things that are more than 75 years old?
Fake paintings fake wreckage.. This is bollicks
30 years war? The dutch revolt against Spain is here in Holland known as the 80 years war!
11:58 If that is an old time diving helmet buried in mud, why didn’t the surface oxide? Copper and bronze would turn green after a period of time. Even sunk in mud clay there is enough oxygen in the muck at that depth to react with the surface of the metal. I have to agree with other comments. This seems like a fun vacation video made into a lame documentary.
Does anyone know the name of the young lady in this video?????
The video was fine but it was really bothersome watching him throw stuff back in the ocean to rot that is surly valuable if not financially at least for historical reasons. I know laws and stuff but lol whats not on camera cant be proven
This man is greedy and cares nothing about preserving history……
Yeah, this is awful. He clearly put the old timey dive helmet there so he could "find" it.
Brilliant show A1
Hate the narrators voice not what I want to hear for an hour
Extra cool I love Treasure Hunting but and home..
I had to stop watching after the dive helmet find. As a treasure hunter myself, if i found something like this with a crew of people not only would i be excited but my crew would have some reaction to the find. Here this is little to know excitement and cuts to another scene.
fake
Why did the wine spoil? I would think it would have kept well being permanently chilled in the ocean water.
I love how respectful and professional and knowledgeable these treasure hunters are.
The only disappointment is this whole video !! I just wasted 50 min of my life ! Didnt finish after 50:49 !
Look for straight lines – There aren’t any straight lines in nature.
I know they have to get the coral off but as a coin collector I’m cringing at them cleaning those coins in acid
This guy is either the luckiest guy in the world or this is Staged!
Fantastic movie!
No metal detector
Can’t say much for men with purse dogs…
The guy Ben seems like a fraud to me,but he is knowledgable..!
"a renowned psychic" 😂
SO COOL 2 find an old divers helmet! Incredible!
Yikes! 11:02 – just say "no" to Speedos
