Gear I use for backpacking and filming is mostly purchased from craigslist boulder and thrift stores. I shop in these areas for outdoor gear because the people in this area update their gear every year and have good money, so I try to find last years gear for cheap in areas like this.

That’s it? That’s all you could find that was strange or unique in Colorado? You must be from some other state.

The plural for "vortex" is not, "vortexes" – it is: "vortices".

  14. jBird on April 14, 2021 at 7:29 pm

Dude looks like you didn’t make it too far past the Font Range….I live in SLV and three of your locations where in the Valley alone. We also have lots of Pre History remnants still to be catalogued here.

But if you planning to move here, we liked it quiet, and be advised….Dont move to SLV or Crestone if your looking for a Job or a Girlfriend!….lol

Such a beautiful state, it’s a tragedy all the good people moved to Utah or Texas to flea the ones who are currently here. Calirado just isn’t the same šŸ™

I have lived in Colorado my whole life and haven’t even heard of most of these places.

I guess that’s what I get for not being a tourist who only visits for the view, and because I live here.

The San Luis Valley is inside a Military Operations Area, so many aircraft frequent the area at low to high altitude and often those aircraft have no markings on them, or are painted in markings designed to mask their exact shape.

Colorado used to be the most awesome state in country, and had such a cool vibe. Now its beginning to suck. Too many Californians moved in and brought their stuck up attitudes and politics with them. It’s gotten so expensive as well. It’s still a nice state but becoming more crowded every day and changing for the worse. Any popular hike near Denver on a weekend is like a freaking conga line, and the ski resorts are a zoo. I’m thinking of moving to Montana. It’s still like how Colorado used to be 20 years ago and arguably even more beautiful.

Thank you for promoting our wonderful state. However, it’s properly ā€œBishop Castleā€. Jim was known for making sure if he heard folks saying ā€œBishop’sā€, he’d correct them. In honor of his hard work-I think we should make sure we say it right. šŸ˜‰

  47. Mary Ann Iaeck on April 14, 2021 at 8:08 pm
