you almost tripped over it. you can see it in shot

  2. Brian Maldonado on June 6, 2020 at 6:24 pm

Ive been near the location. it seems that climbing gear may be necessary. It was hard enough to carry what I needed to survive let alone what I needed to get to the mine. That’s why they used mules.

Hi jeff have you ever gone looking for gold in Australia perhaps somewhere in Adelaide it’s just I live there and I’m a big fan I’ve been begging to get my dad to let me go and do some gold panning so I can sell it at the local market with my dad so yeah if you have can you tell me did you find any gold???

  9. JourneywithJay on June 6, 2020 at 6:28 pm

Someone should fly a drone around the area to get a looksee. That would be a lot safer and would allow someone to get some knowledge of what is actually up in those mountains.

i live 15 mins from this tourist trap. 😀 its interesting to see out siders view on it.. my dad worked with the women who owned it before he retired from the city of apache junction as a engineer.. small world. i like the mining tour.. last time i went the guy had quite a few to drink. heh.. was funny he try to make ou think you were going very far down.. but like maybe a foot in elevation you drop. its good to see people enjoy this place. it almost burnt down( well not really… i mean it could of and the owner was stressing.. but the fire fighters were doing there job.. i think it was in good hands from being burnt down couple years back do to a wild fire..)

I was there about 7 years ago and my boy at the time was 7 and we walked into the "Brothel". Well let me tell you that the girl in there was really trying to be authentic because the heat combined with the heavy dress she was wearing smelled like you-know-what. It was offensive and tantalizing all at the same time….lol.

If it’s on the north end? Why do people enter from the south end? Hur?

  32. Christopher Smith on June 6, 2020 at 7:01 pm

Mr. Williams, that is a wonderful telling of the legend. I would like to add a couple of things that you didn’t mention. There was an earthquake that occurred in 1887 that was felt from Sonora to Phoenix. The local newspapers reported large dust clouds coming from the mountains. The mine that was named "Lost Dutchman Mine" had collapsed during that earthquake. He was never able to go back to that mine during his life. He died with all the gold he was able to retrieve from his last trip. The maps you were showing on your show we maps of the Peralta mines. They were not maps the Peralta’s made, but made by people that travelled to and from the mines during their operations. There were 8 active mines during the time the Peralta’s decided to leave the area. They had been warned of the pending attack and were attempting to get out before it happened. Unfortunately they didn’t make it. The Indians were waiting for them. The Dutchman did find one of the Peralta mines. 2 of the mines were split off from the other ones which were clustered together. He found one of the mines split off. There is more to the story, but I do love traveling to the mountains and wonder what it must have been like to be alive during that time. Thank you for the wonderful video

  33. Quisno Rodonovich on June 6, 2020 at 7:03 pm

Hint Jeff it was called the Bulldog mine in Apache Junction. i did some work there the brown hemitite in that area contains good quantity of fine gold. and the pink metamorphic granite rock makes good looking material for drive ways and sells for a good price. that is a load gold area

    Jeff n Slim…
If hundreds if not thousands of miners have scoured the Superstitions, you’d think somebody probably found that gold and moved it or took it out by now.

  38. JUSTACHIPN on June 6, 2020 at 7:07 pm

So slimes real name is Nevada Jake uh?

  39. mrshankj on June 6, 2020 at 7:08 pm

    Hey Jeff,

My lady and I are looking for a place to go on vaca in December, and I WANNA FIND SOME GOOOLD! I’m up in the Northeast and it’s gonna be a little freezing up here to do any panning so I’m thinking about taking my pans and my woman and heading south or west. We’d like something with some beautiful scenery but not a lot of tourists STEALING OUR GOLD! Georgia and California seem to be pretty good spots in terms of gold recovered there, but I figured I’d ask the pro!

  42. Billy Shears on June 6, 2020 at 7:15 pm

There are still yahoo’s traipsing this area. The Superstitions can be very dangerous. I do not suggest going there in the summer or warm weather even. Take more water than you think you’ll need…even in cool weather. The desert WILL kill you if you don’t prepare properly. If you’re hobby prospecting, I’d go elsewhere.

  43. Maple Sugar on June 6, 2020 at 7:16 pm

almost had that old time feel until I saw chemtrails in the sky.

  49. Rick Elliott on June 6, 2020 at 7:21 pm

I worked near there last year at Whitlow Ranch down the 60. I wish I knew the history then. Doesn’t look like they’re sending me back this year. But if so, I’m still not going up that mountain. I didn’t even take home some petroglyphs on rocks I found this year near Painted Rock. Bad juju. If I didn’t make it, or if it’s not gold, I’m leaving it where it lies

  50. Paul Huver on June 6, 2020 at 7:22 pm

When you done with all the exciting places in the U.S Jeff, come down under and find real gold in Australia..Few mysteries down here too.
