the offshoot was probably exploratory trying to see if there was a parallel vein – which often happens with these kinds of deposits.

You shouldn’t touch moth wings, our oils are detrimental.

Enjoy your videos, very informative!! I know of a few mines in Idaho springs that I explored as a teenager that go on for miles and miles. Wish I would have known more back then!

  20. Ashley Wierzba on March 7, 2021 at 2:17 am

I’m new to exploring for different minerals, gems, etc. What advice do you have for a beginner? And also, how do you find open claims?

  21. Braeden C. on March 7, 2021 at 2:18 am

I think that was just ice, not stalagmites.

  25. Christopher Dodgin on March 7, 2021 at 2:25 am

Im a rock-hound, i would love to meet you if you want to go back to this cave

  26. Rick L. on March 7, 2021 at 2:25 am

The sound editing is laughably bad and quite annoying/distracting at times. Love the attention to the minerals on in the mine. Most mine explores I watch just flash by interesting rock formations while they look for ore carts and boring stuff. πŸ˜‰

  27. Blaney Crabbe on March 7, 2021 at 2:25 am

  35. candler cutcliffe on March 7, 2021 at 2:32 am

  36. eric h on March 7, 2021 at 2:33 am

Any chance you’d tell me a location? Or even a hint? Understandable if not haha

  37. Andrew Dufresne on March 7, 2021 at 2:33 am

I’ve only briefly explored old mines in Colorado, but it is quite fun! I am gonna get a toxic gas monitor, and better safety equipment. I would love to explore with you next summer sometime. I’m in Gunnison county but travel around a bit

  38. Annie B on March 7, 2021 at 2:34 am

This was an awesome video! Had my attention right to the end. I’m kinda binging on your videos now and got three in before I had to remind myself to go comment on the first one lol. Quick question.. I’m in Fremont County (yay..) and I was wondering if you are exploring public land in this video? Are you sure the mine isn’t owned? Around here, people will chase you down just for panning on thier land in the Arkansas River! Kinda makes it hard to pan when all the land on the rivers around here are claimed. I’m a beginner if you can’t tell!

  39. Live Lyfe on March 7, 2021 at 2:34 am
