Thanks for explaining what kind of mineral we were looking at!! That’s very interesting!! Use to live in Colorado springs. Our weekend excursions were usually cripple creek and victor . I can feel
history in old mining towns !! Love the old west!!

You shouldn’t touch moth wings, our oils are detrimental.

  12. John brownlee on February 17, 2023 at 4:51 pm

Have you ever found gold when inside one of theses caves?

  13. Jess Ewing on February 17, 2023 at 4:51 pm

  14. BruceSchultzAu on February 17, 2023 at 4:52 pm

    Wow mate what an adventure
We live on the same planet but world’s apart. It’s over 40 degrees C every day by 11 am in my mining area.

  17. BigE Ohio State Fan on February 17, 2023 at 4:53 pm

How do you get to go into this mine? Cripple Creeks are pretty much private property.
Love my home State but don’t miss the snow here in Florida😁

Must be warm enough for the moths at the ceiling and cold enough to freeze at the floor

  20. Joseph GEIS on February 17, 2023 at 4:54 pm

The Moths that you touched will never fly again and will die.

  21. ColorMeRado on February 17, 2023 at 4:57 pm

There’s plenty of hidden history in these caves and mountains just stay away from any monoliths they are signs of other creatures you should avoid.

  22. _ on February 17, 2023 at 4:58 pm

  23. Andrew Dufresne on February 17, 2023 at 5:05 pm

I’ve only briefly explored old mines in Colorado, but it is quite fun! I am gonna get a toxic gas monitor, and better safety equipment. I would love to explore with you next summer sometime. I’m in Gunnison county but travel around a bit

Interesting. Good to learn about the minerals down there and the perspective from the original miners chasing the vein.

  29. Travailer on February 17, 2023 at 5:17 pm

Thank you very much for your description of the minerals while mine exploring too few explorers say much while on their explore.

  30. RDL on February 17, 2023 at 5:17 pm

The sound editing is laughably bad and quite annoying/distracting at times. Love the attention to the minerals on in the mine. Most mine explores I watch just flash by interesting rock formations while they look for ore carts and boring stuff. 😉

  31. Ashley Wierzba on February 17, 2023 at 5:19 pm

I’m new to exploring for different minerals, gems, etc. What advice do you have for a beginner? And also, how do you find open claims?

  32. eric h on February 17, 2023 at 5:20 pm

Any chance you’d tell me a location? Or even a hint? Understandable if not haha

  33. ammobake on February 17, 2023 at 5:20 pm

the offshoot was probably exploratory trying to see if there was a parallel vein – which often happens with these kinds of deposits.
