I’ve only briefly explored old mines in Colorado, but it is quite fun! I am gonna get a toxic gas monitor, and better safety equipment. I would love to explore with you next summer sometime. I’m in Gunnison county but travel around a bit

  21. harold vonhelms on December 21, 2022 at 12:41 pm

it would be wise to test this mine, it could be loaded

  22. Lacey on December 21, 2022 at 12:41 pm

You shouldn’t touch moth wings, our oils are detrimental.

  23. Ashley Wierzba on December 21, 2022 at 12:43 pm

I’m new to exploring for different minerals, gems, etc. What advice do you have for a beginner? And also, how do you find open claims?

  24. Joshua Hutcheson on December 21, 2022 at 12:44 pm

Enjoy your videos, very informative!! I know of a few mines in Idaho springs that I explored as a teenager that go on for miles and miles. Wish I would have known more back then!

  25. Lee Hilton on December 21, 2022 at 12:45 pm

Nice find man. I would take some samples from that ore shoot. Looks like the stoped it out but without goin up there we’ll never know. I’d check the ground under the cross ties too. Could have good stuff goin down, but didn’t see any winzes so.?

  26. ammobake on December 21, 2022 at 12:45 pm

the offshoot was probably exploratory trying to see if there was a parallel vein – which often happens with these kinds of deposits.

  27. Rick L. on December 21, 2022 at 12:47 pm

Must be warm enough for the moths at the ceiling and cold enough to freeze at the floor

  28. Mark Pascoe on December 21, 2022 at 12:48 pm

  32. ric 63 on December 21, 2022 at 12:53 pm

Interesting. Good to learn about the minerals down there and the perspective from the original miners chasing the vein.

  33. JayBird G on December 21, 2022 at 12:53 pm

    Good money in unique stone.
    For beads or jewlery

  34. BigE Ohio State Fan on December 21, 2022 at 12:53 pm

How do you get to go into this mine? Cripple Creeks are pretty much private property.
Love my home State but don’t miss the snow here in Florida๐Ÿ˜

Love this vid, it’s so informative!๐Ÿ™‚

  38. Rick L. on December 21, 2022 at 12:58 pm

The sound editing is laughably bad and quite annoying/distracting at times. Love the attention to the minerals on in the mine. Most mine explores I watch just flash by interesting rock formations while they look for ore carts and boring stuff. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  39. John brownlee on December 21, 2022 at 12:59 pm

Have you ever found gold when inside one of theses caves?
