Ahhhhh! Frightening! I’m glad you made a video of this…too sketchy and cold for me. I kept waiting to see a bear! I thought your gloves on the ground were bones at first lol

I’m new to exploring for different minerals, gems, etc. What advice do you have for a beginner? And also, how do you find open claims?

  3. harold vonhelms on April 24, 2022 at 2:17 pm

Thanks for explaining what kind of mineral we were looking at!! That’s very interesting!! Use to live in Colorado springs. Our weekend excursions were usually cripple creek and victor . I can feel
history in old mining towns !! Love the old west!!

  13. Gulf Coast Girl on April 24, 2022 at 2:29 pm

  27. Andrew Dufresne on April 24, 2022 at 2:51 pm

I’ve only briefly explored old mines in Colorado, but it is quite fun! I am gonna get a toxic gas monitor, and better safety equipment. I would love to explore with you next summer sometime. I’m in Gunnison county but travel around a bit

  28. Braeden C. on April 24, 2022 at 2:51 pm

I think that was just ice, not stalagmites.

  29. BigE Ohio State Fan on April 24, 2022 at 2:52 pm

How do you get to go into this mine? Cripple Creeks are pretty much private property.
Love my home State but don’t miss the snow here in Florida😁

  30. mudlogga on April 24, 2022 at 2:52 pm

It’s called an adit not a tunnel.

  31. Joshua Hutcheson on April 24, 2022 at 2:54 pm

Enjoy your videos, very informative!! I know of a few mines in Idaho springs that I explored as a teenager that go on for miles and miles. Wish I would have known more back then!

  38. ole canole on April 24, 2022 at 3:02 pm

Very cool old mine. Hi from Garfield County.

  41. Squid on April 24, 2022 at 3:03 pm

    GPS coordinates please??

  42. Rick L. on April 24, 2022 at 3:03 pm

The sound editing is laughably bad and quite annoying/distracting at times. Love the attention to the minerals on in the mine. Most mine explores I watch just flash by interesting rock formations while they look for ore carts and boring stuff. πŸ˜‰

  43. The Wyatt life on April 24, 2022 at 3:03 pm

That was awesome man! That would be freaky on your own

  44. ammobake on April 24, 2022 at 3:03 pm

the offshoot was probably exploratory trying to see if there was a parallel vein – which often happens with these kinds of deposits.

  45. Mark Pascoe on April 24, 2022 at 3:05 pm

Excellent! Thank you. Sorry I know your still Buried in snow up their. Beware the sring run off this yr. Be safe

  46. ric 63 on April 24, 2022 at 3:06 pm

Interesting. Good to learn about the minerals down there and the perspective from the original miners chasing the vein.

  47. Vesbolk on April 24, 2022 at 3:07 pm

    WAY too dangerous for me!

  48. Lee Hilton on April 24, 2022 at 3:09 pm
