Aztec Empire came to an end at the hands of Conquistador Hernan Cortes but not before Emperor Montezuma, and his people, were able to sneak their mass amounts of wealth north to seven separate locations in what is now the American Southwest. For five centuries, thousands have searched for Montezuma’s treasure and the 7 Cities of Gold. The treasure is believed to be made up of an enormous quantity of gold bars, silver, precious stones, jewelry, and other Aztec artifacts. Historians estimate the value of all of these items to be worth over $3 billion dollars.

Lost Gold of the Aztecs follows three families determined to break the 500-year-old curse of Emperor Montezuma and find the treasure. The series will intercut each family’s epic adventure as they search for the 7 Cities of Gold on three different properties in three different states – the Dillmans in Utah, the Hoaglands in Nevada, and the Villescases in New Mexico. Who will be the first to find the Aztec Gold?

Why would Montezuma travel from Tenochitlan (modern day Mexico City) thousands of miles to SW U.S. to hide his gigantic cache of gold. I don’t buy it.

  34. Lee Smith on May 26, 2023 at 3:56 pm

Why in God’s name would the Aztecs bring it here to hide? Before looking for tunnels, you might want to investigate possible answers to that question. I love the internet!! Only place people can build an alternate universe out of such a bizarre and implausible theory.

  38. Damone Johnson on May 26, 2023 at 4:00 pm

Wouldn’t that make the gold the property of the Aztec people who I’m sure NONE OF THEIR LAST NAMES ARE "DILLMAN" SO SPANIARDS ARE STILL TRYING TO TAKE FROM THOSE PEOPLE WHATS RIGHT FULLY THEIRS!!! THIEVES THEN & THIEVES NOW SMFH

  39. Warren Huxtable on May 26, 2023 at 4:01 pm

  43. Old Kobold on May 26, 2023 at 4:07 pm

gold? the aztec worked gold sure but it wasent as prominent as platinum (the rarest metal on earth) however the spanish mistook it for trash steel so they dumped all the figures statues and art made of it into the ocean tons of the most precious metal on earth. into the sea how ironic.

  44. chubbchubb on May 26, 2023 at 4:07 pm

Can’t see radio waves. Flare was brilliant. Even with all our tech, the military still uses different color flares as signals.

  49. 12MileCyclotron on May 26, 2023 at 4:11 pm

Oh, you meant Mt. Kanab; noted for Platinum !

  50. carryoutmoth #1 on May 26, 2023 at 4:11 pm

The city of gold was already found in the grand canyon and is protected by the US military. If you go to the location you will be arrested without question. Location and information is classified and will stay that way. My guess is it’s classified because the gold is being used to fund the industrial military complex. With the price of inflation and no trade for titanium from Russian the US military has to buy different metals and such. If only 5% of tax goes to the military how is it so advanced the math just doesn’t add up even with the black project money it’s not enough
