REAL GHOST TOWN: Bodie, California!
REAL GHOST TOWN: Bodie, California!
Bodie, California is one of the best preserved Ghost Towns, way up in the hills of Northern California Gold Country!
This former boomtown struck gold and grew quickly as miners and opportunists and businessmen came up the trails to try their luck. The towns people disappeared almost as quickly as they appeared as the profits from the nearby gold mines were declining.
Come explore this Gold Rush, Wild West Ghost Town with us from the homesteads to the storefronts!
Special thanks to our cousin-at-arms Steve from @thepicvan who not only added some great footage but also some great voice and character acting!
Also, Part 2 will release soon as we stay long after the sun goes down!

LOL! "Full Blown Commode" Someone must have had an explosive movement π
This was an amazing stop; I love old history like this. Well captured and entertaining. Great job and thank you for sharing.
Cool video. Was just there a few days ago. It’s not northwest of yosemite though. North or northeast.
Better not have taken anything! Bad luck will come your way…
San Diego Fleet rumored to return in a league called MLFB. Would go to a game if the fleet returned?
Being something of a barfly myself, I was speechless when I saw the hotel bar. When I look at those walls itβs like I can feel the energy of all that went on there: the great times, the drama, the good people, the not so good people, the late nights… I wish I could see it
I just wish I lived in the 1800βs to experience that time
Omg π± Iβm in love with this channel and you ! Lol great videos ! I love old buildings and historic artifacts!
I want my epitath to be, " Chris died. It was quite the ride. Think about your own mortality and don’t be snide."
8:00 we’re gonna get some more color out of these hills π
Itβs been 10 years Iβve been wanting to go there, I think I will go this year for my bday
I was feeling sad that I couldn’t make the trek to Bodie this summer, and I stumbled upon your video. This was so much fun to watch! I’m glad you had so much fun exploring my favorite ghost town. I just subscribed. π
I wonder if that would be a great place to shoot a Hollywood movie??? Lol π
Anyone else think of rdr2 when you watch this? (Red dead redemption 2)
What a cool place bodie
Thx 4 your video..π£π²π
I read a book called Big Bad Bodie about 10 years ago. I had no idea so much of it still remained and in such good condition.
Im a Brit so will probably never get the chance to visit, but it’s great to finally see it. Very cool
It’s cool a young man like you has a passion for historic ghost towns. I’m 67 and love this kind of stuff. I’ve been wanting to go there over the last few months…but the virus has come our way. I wanted to stay at a local motel…I’m not sure I can trust how well the hotel rooms are sanitized regarding the virus. I will make it there eventually. I really enjoyed your video.
The shootout sequence that you imitated reminds me of modern day in the black jungle known as Chicago. LOL the modern-day wild west gangster style. Am I right?
Very informative brother! Finally someone has arrived to show us the forgotten hidden spots of our beautiful California!
I first found out about Bodie from a 1988 music video called "Don’t Know What You’ve Got Till It’s Gone" by Cinderella. Took me 22 years to finally make it in 2010. Really cool place.
I wish I could post the picture, but I have one of me where I’m sitting in that "car" at 7:46 back in 1989.
Any whores in that town.?
where do you find these places ? i think this is so cool and im also from the bay area
I’ve been to many places like this…"to realize…humans like us…used to live like this…I have appreciation for them.
I just went there on Thursday . I been wanting to go since 2017 and let me tell you !!!! I was so hyped . I literally love stuff like this . I love history and the outdoors !
