It’s not his fault people are dying. People do this stuff all the time without a treasure and die while backpacking. Either way you have to be prepared and smart about it.

  11. MasterfulKane on October 26, 2020 at 2:29 pm

Biggest load of bullshit I’ve ever seen. The man just made up a fake legacy. If it was true someone would’ve found it within days of the hunt even beginning. I saw a news article of an avalanche that presented the chest within snow. If that’s also a hoax you can bet no-one will ever come forward.

  12. James A on October 26, 2020 at 2:29 pm

    Someone Found It!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Karl Ferguson on October 26, 2020 at 2:30 pm

He thought it would be found within a few months Tom maybe 2 to 3 years kinda thing. Great treasure hunt Mr. Fenn. Congrats to whoever found it.

  14. Billeh on October 26, 2020 at 2:33 pm

Don’t ever feel responsible Mr Fenn these people are out doing nature Ventures people die doing that

  15. MarkoTiano on October 26, 2020 at 2:36 pm

My question is how did he get all that ancient gold? All this might be fake and made up.

  17. David Boone on October 26, 2020 at 2:37 pm

He shouldn’t feel bad, he’s giving people a reason to live, to die living, is a good death

  18. Sherrie benson on October 26, 2020 at 2:38 pm

Treasure was found this past weekend and verified to be the treasure chest buried by this guy! Amazing🤯

  20. Dick Fitswell on October 26, 2020 at 2:38 pm

I found it on accident. It was all rust. Apparently bear urine is the only thing that causes gold to break down

Now that Forrest has passed on to his place in the mountains, that "special place in the forest north of Santa Fe" should be revealed.  The special place was not about hiking, camping, or fishing, but about meditation while facing death from cancer.  If you go to this website you may spot some hints:     https://www.vallecitos.org/      Look at the photos (click on Why Vallecitos, then Photo Gallery) and you will see some hints that were given out by Forrest,  a photo of some cast bronze bells similar to those Forrest made and hid,  the Vallecitos Rio along which several searched, "the poem leads to the end of my rainbow" (see photo of a large rainbow that ends near where the treasure was hidden as Forrest wrote on the cover flap of The Thrill of the Chase), and and with Google Maps look at the grassy pasture area south of the Vallecitos main ranch house and you will find a rock wheel, as in "Try the wheel" that Forrest told to one searcher.  The Google Maps coordinates for the location of The Blaze (large black-painted "nn" on top of a big white boulder) are:  36.6355, 106.2105  – – –  You can see that the blaze was about 0.6 miles from the Vallecitos driveway.  Forrest probably had the 4-digit combination for the lock on the gate leading to the Vallecitos Mountain Retreat.  The FInder had to hike north around the fence for 1.3 miles from the nearest public road to the chest.  The blaze is 210 feet from the Vallecitos Rio where some searchers looked but did not know they were close, and 440 feet from the Loop Trail where many searchers walked. – – – – – –

  23. Joe Ciaccio on October 26, 2020 at 2:41 pm

Ill give you a hint. The blaze is no rock, no rift, no cliff it is the Sun. When your about 9 miles out, in a certain spot. You will. Be able to see the sun in a perfect spot..

Mann this is a simple fix, find the old man & give him 2 options- show me where the treasure is or run him 2 the bank

The real treasure is within you

  32. J E on October 26, 2020 at 2:49 pm

This is hard to watch. I wonder why our beautiful country has become so pussified. People died looking for treasure? Omg we need stricter treasure laws now! People are dying people!!!!!

  33. Billy Bob important! ! on October 26, 2020 at 2:50 pm

Finn needs to call the damn thing off. I think enough people die in the world we dont need extra people passing looking for a treasure that was hidden by a guy with a twisted poem!

  34. fungoorstitch on October 26, 2020 at 2:53 pm

The only reason you’d ever have to "look quickly down" is if the circumstances around you were changing or you yourself were moving. For example, the "blaze" from the poem could refer to the sun and the moment it disappears from view below the horizon. Perhaps the location of the treasure might only be visible at that point. Most likely, though, the person has to be in motion to spot it.

  35. Sandra Adams on October 26, 2020 at 2:55 pm

Forest gave me hope, and excitement. Thank you Forest! I had so much fun looking, researching. I got to see beautiful places!

  40. J T on October 26, 2020 at 2:58 pm

notice when he says the treasure is real and his eyes move up and to his right. This is a common form of lying

  41. Raaa uuulll on October 26, 2020 at 2:58 pm

Does anybody think this could be linked to all the people that go missing in the mountains, “411” ?¿?¿?

  47. Where Zenith on October 26, 2020 at 3:07 pm

Forrest Fenn owes it to the searchers at this point to reveal where it was. His statement with more clues? I was like holy crap more clues? Really?!? After we hang on his every word for so long this is all we get? “It was under a canopy of stars in the lush, forested vegetation of the Rocky Mountains and had not moved from the spot where I hid it more than 10 years ago,” Great chase but seriously the searchers deserve to know where. Period.
