The Forrest Service are absolute bullies. "We don’t want someone going back there to get hurt." Bull crap. There was nothing unsafe about that tiny mine. They just want to close it to keep their contractors happy and keep their "closed mines" numbers up.

This is stupid. Very safe mine. No vertical nor angled shafts. No dynamite. Only a little water. No one would ever get injured. Has anyone ever been hurt? I totally think this is the victim of someone who gets credit for how many mines they close. Idiots. Well, I guess vandals will just keep it open on their own…except more people will probably be injured trying to reopen the mine than were ever injured going inside.
