Getting old can be scary, but as my friends say, the older you get, the closer you are to Christ. I pray that you come to know Him, He’s the reason why death is no longer something to fear ❀️

This was filmed on the Squam Lakes which I’m looking at right now. I live in Holderness NH by the lake. It’s only a couple minutes out my door. Absolutely beautiful location 😍

I just remember my grandparents watching this when I was a kid, I was 9 in 1982. I decided to watch it today just to remember them, they’ve been gone almost 30 years, damn I sure wasn’t disappointed. Great movie!!!

Nov 20, 2021 ~ This was the last movie Henry Fonda ever made! He Won the academy award for his last Picture Show! Jane Fonda had to receive it for him as he passed away soon after its release.
Yes I know what it feels like to grow old. I have a bottle of Nitro in ever room in the house. That pain in the chest he demoed gets worse without Nitro. You’ll feel pain in the left arm and it feels like a knife in your back along with an ache i the Jaw.
Good bye Henry thanks for all the great movies.

😒What an amazing movie! Can’t believe I never saw this movie and I’m living in New Hampshire πŸ€”. Excellent cast, beautiful scenery, nothing like good ole Squam Lake and its surroundings πŸπŸƒπŸ‚πŸπŸƒπŸ‚πŸ¦†

Acting is so first class..EASILY Oscar worthy. (Would have been a crime, if it wouldn’t have won.)

I loved this movie as a kid and have been looking for it for a long time. But let’s get real. That’s a lake not a pond. I’m a farm boy, I know ponds.

Jane Fonda makes me puke. Self absorbed, wanting more attention than warranted. What an embarrassment to her veteran father.

It was good to see Jane and her old man acting together again.
She was so young and beautiful here. Her acting in this was as real as it gets and the awards this film got with such a small cast. New Hampshire is so beautiful all 4 seasons .

I’m in my 50’s and plan on being a curmudgeon. Looking forward to it. I try to practice so eventually I’ll be good at it. I have plenty of money so family members try to stay on my good side. I’ll make them earn it!

This movie is all about fleeting time; yet it is timeless. Having seen this movie when it was first released, seeing it again now, now that being a senior is my constant condition, I will always treasure this experience – "On Golden Pond." Thanks be to the actors & everyone involved in producing this masterpiece.

I love this movie. You get a feel that Henry and Katherine are actually married to each other. Now that is a true talent that most of today’s acting is sorely lacking.

  42. Elizabeth Vasquez on November 22, 2021 at 10:38 am
