    It’s amazing how complex and daring mining has been! There is a really neat coal mine exhibit in the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry you’ll have to check out if you find a growing interest in the history. Great video as always, thanks for sharing!

    Mining uranium seems like it would be a difficult occupation. This was all very informative but I am fairly certain that the coolest parts would be underground. So it is a shame that was not working. But it is very cool that she let you in to see the rest of the museum. Thanks for taking us along!

    Good thing they have old photos of miners and it shows the difficult life of miners during those days, now they’re all part of history.

    Mining instruments are always interesting to us as we have gone into many different mines. If the elevator is not working correctly your better off not going and getting stuck anyway. Maybe next time your in that area. It seems like it would be really interesting to see the whole thing.

    That drill bit was huge!! We saw quite a few steam engines running this summer because we visited a few steam and gas engine shows. Too bad you couldn’t go underground!
