I can find a lot of videos of the Black Mesa and Lake Powell Railroad for the Navajo Generating Station power plant at Page, Arizona oddly enough. But not this railroad.. (is it due to it’s shorter run and limited access to see it?) It’s strange to think there are electric trains in New Mexico running. Even if it’s on a limited private line not connected to the rail network. However, not clearly seen these locomotives have extra tall pantographs installed, I assume due to mine equipment needing to clear the lines when crossing the railroad, along with extra large filters on the roof. Those box’s on the roof, for coal dust presumably. Thanks for getting one of the few videos of these trains. This service may not be around forever as coal power generation is being replaced; as evidenced by Navajo Generating Station closing down in 2019, due to low demand. I.e. natural grass generation is now cheaper per Kilowatt hour than coal. With these railroads dependent on electricity and coal hauling from the power plant will go away.
