Name of man who says he found Forrest Fenn's infamous hidden treasure chest revealed

Found out about this story of human greed and folly while listening to a recent episode of Mysterious Universe. Forest Finn is ignorant of human nature otherwise he would not have done this.

The fact that five people died trying to find the treasure sort of overshadows the treasure itself or the hunt for it. This whole thing should have been called off the moment one person died looking for it

  33. Nick Haviland on February 11, 2022 at 12:56 am

I don’t buy a word of it. Fenn very well may have hidden a treasure trove somewhere, believing he wasn’t long for the world, but after learning he wasn’t terminally ill, more than likely went and retrieved it. He probably kept up with the illusion, because he didn’t want to look like a complete and total liar. People died searching for this dude’s “hidden treasure”, so when he knew he was at deaths’ door, of course he would either replant his original cache, or stage someone “discovering” it…All I’m saying is he planted it under the mistaken belief he was about to die, only to recover, allow others to die searching for it, and have it found, dying 2 months later…You have to be willfully ignorant, or fanciful, if you honestly believe this is a legitimate coincidence…

  34. Danna on February 11, 2022 at 12:56 am
