I don’t really like fire opal, I think there are "lesser" gem stones that are much prettier

  22. Steve Stephens on October 24, 2022 at 7:38 am

You should dig at night for opal, use a white light to dig then switch to black light when classifying, the opal will glow super bright

  23. Jacque Mcwillis on October 24, 2022 at 7:38 am

I went to the royal peacock mine years ago with a group of friends. Found some great stones even a couple of blacks! Back then it was only 50.00 a day to dig!

  25. scarrydude on October 24, 2022 at 7:40 am

A+ for your enthusiasm and attitude. But the stuff you dug out and called black opal we in Australia would throw in the bin. Only lightning ridge produces black opal, the most valuable opal. Keep up the good work.

Love the channel, BUT black opal is based on potch color that affects the darkness of the stone, what we find there is smokey opal NOT BLACK. Sorry but the color of limb casts are no where as rare as the Australian black opal. And i know that the guy there says its worth but in almost 15 years of going to the peacock, THEY DONT SELL ANY OF THEM, they always have them for that price but never sell any but the dig site stuff? Thats because they over price it. We have to use our heads and NOT our ears when pricing this stuff. Is it cheap? NO, But its not that expensuve either. None the less great video. Just wish everyone didnt have the 20,000 dollar find. Lol its silly honestly. And you let me know when you sell a thousand dollar opal wood or fossil for that matter and show us you sold it for that.

  35. jenny mark on October 24, 2022 at 7:51 am

The clear and the cream colour ones we call potch, not worth much, but leads to color ones
