The Trek Planner had a unique experience of helping a group explore, document and sample a mine in Eureka, Utah. This mine is leased by a man who wanted us to help explore it and take samples for assays. Here is a highlight video of our adventure.
This gives you a pretty good idea on what mine exploring is like.
Cool to see what’s in the cave. Looks like some mining rails in some of the tunnels. How did they get that Ore Cart down there, lol! Nice spelunking. Great video. Thanks. 🙂

Ive worked those mines. STAY OUT OF THEM!!! you are not doing you or rescue personel any favors when you hit low oxygenated area and GO DOWN!!!!!!
MINES REQUIRE FORCED VENTILATION!! You turn a corner or climb a ladder or decend where the oxygen levels are nil to none. LIGHTS OUT RIGHT NOW!! NO SAYING" OH MAYBE I SHOULD RETHINK THIS. ITS TO LATE AT THAT POINT!!!!!!!!!
LET A LONE EUREKA UTAH IS THEE WORST GROUND IVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. A NOISE AND YOU COULD THE BACK FALL OUT AND CHASE TO THE SURFACE. IVE HAD A CLOSE FRIEND AND CO WORKER DIE IN MY ARMS. I MORE THAN QUALIFY TO EXPRESS MY OPINIONS. I AM TRYING TO SAVE YOUR LIFE. STAY OUT OF THOSE OLD WORKINGS.!!!!!!!!!

I couldnt watch you film. Im sorry. When i saw you decending my heart about burst from my chest. Stay out at the top of my lungs. Please. Human life is not worth the thrill. You wanna go underground. Go to an active mining operation. Ask a superintendent to give you a tour. When A trained miner reenters old workings. Its reventilated for days before any human person set foot in it. I could keep talking. If that will save a life….
