There are many stories and they’re all bogus…some old man knows and hid it, then gets sick or attacked by Indians. There’s metal stuck in these hills but it’s VERY difficult to unearth.

Ok. I did a land scan on my land metal detector around a 5 to 7 mile radius around Clifford Colorado for that gold your talking about and couldn’t find anything. I’ve got a land gold metal detector that scans an area for nearly 2 miles and found nothing. Soo don’t go looking for Gold there bc there isn’t any.

Legends, is exactly what 99% of "lost treasure" stories are. We know one for sure that is true, the Reynold’s gang gold.

Some Mexican guy supposedly hide 6 tons of gold in southern New Mexico near a plateau that he had flow over in a small plane in several shipments.
