Lost Adams Diggings- W.C Jameson

I was able to have the honor to not only meet but also sit in a seminar of W C Jameson on the Lost Adams Diggings. This goes over his latest book The Lost Canyon Of Gold. Enjoy!

They clearly never even made it North of Escudilla or it would have been mentioned by at least one of the 4 survivors. Adams and Davidson wandered most of the area between Reserve north to Springerville and as far East as Socorro for 30 something years until his eventual death. You would think the most prominent landmark for 100 mile radius and the third tallest mountain in the state would have at least been mentioned. I think they made it further North than your location but not as far as Escudilla. When Jacob Snively left early and rode into Pinos Altos with 30-40k worth of gold he came from the North. When Brewer escaped on foot he travelled East and wound up at the Rio Grande, there is no way he travelled from your location on foot across the Mogollon mountain range in winter to the Rio Grande. When Davidson and Adams escaped they would up at Fort Apache travelling shoeless, this is the closest to your location, but I still don’t think it could be done particularly shoeless.

Very interesting! Thanks for posting but all the coughing sounds like a TB ward in the 1800s lol
