The history Channel has managed to turn a serious gold prospecting story into a comedy. No one is believing the bad acting and speculation.

I don’t really know about the 3rd black hand with all of the rocks piled up…. reminded me about Monster Quest… I truly thought that Monster Quest was real at first until I realized it was all fake…. Yeah, I don’t know about this being 100% true… maybe some embellishments like the 3rd black hand and the rocks… also the medicine wheel was too perfect !!!!! no way that would be absolutely perfect from 100’s of years ago….

  10. Sheila McWhorter on May 2, 2021 at 5:18 am

They should have more scenes telling stories around camp fire.

  11. David Santistevan on May 2, 2021 at 5:22 am

Hole and a wire at the beginning of a hole. That’s probably the mine. Why set a trap in a random hole

  12. Evan AB on May 2, 2021 at 5:23 am

Regardless of whether the Jesuits knew where the gold was, why would they leave it there? Also the Jesuits’ depiction of their cross it is sideways but the bottom left line is longer and sits in a heart. The heart and cross would make sense as Jesuit symbols that could’ve been copied down onto a modern map. But this does not mean that anyone who knew where the gold was would’ve left it alone. Especially the priests they had a very reliable way of keeping in touch with their brothers all over the known world. If they were sitting on all that treasure on behalf of a gold coveting Church, they would’ve written it down and sent it back to their brothers hidden in something or even just pieces of the treasure’s location by multiple routes by multiple messengers. They’d probably even send one of their trusted priests.

    MADED for tv

  14. Rocky Mountain Way on May 2, 2021 at 5:25 am

A deliberate death trap huh? Not sure about the Jesuit bailing wire in plain sight, death trap theory but they are sure working hard to make it dramatic.

  15. Pam Robbins on May 2, 2021 at 5:25 am

I think there are caves behind the crosses that need to have rocks removed to reveal what’s behind them.

  16. Comedybrand on May 2, 2021 at 5:26 am

  29. Warren Vollaro on May 2, 2021 at 5:45 am

Hi Wayne, last comment. I was wondering when you walk through dry riverbeds why dont you use the metal detector. Maybe that’s why the dutchman said know one will ever find the mine, I don’t know you know better I’m sure. I pray after all the work you’ve done you find the mine. Also maybe where the real deal found the Jesuit cross samples of those rocks might be a good idea to analyze, cheers to you all

  30. william deetz on May 2, 2021 at 5:46 am

    so obviously staged!

  31. MontanaMountainMen on May 2, 2021 at 5:47 am

Talking about a gold strike in a bar, not very smart or discrete. Many a dead man would tell you mums the word.

  32. Still Awake nz on May 2, 2021 at 5:47 am

So they are looking at a door with a cross on it wondering if its a marker .. sure looked like a door that was blocked

  33. Dwelly Ryder on May 2, 2021 at 5:49 am

Who ever Write the script It isn’t very smart no offense you boys Best get to thinking

  34. Jason Etchison on May 2, 2021 at 5:49 am

Is is possible for you guys to produce a show that isn’t always full of complete 💩? I didn’t think so.

  35. Daniel Hyatt on May 2, 2021 at 5:50 am

If someone was still keeping gold there they’d be stupid. Someone has gotten that and spent it there’s nothing there

  36. ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ on May 2, 2021 at 5:51 am

    This is a good series.

  37. Ronald Nickell on May 2, 2021 at 5:51 am

I didn’t know the Jesuits knew how to weld rebar onto angle iron. The ladder, if it was 150 years or so old wouldn’t be very climbable, but you had a nice braided nylon safety rope to help if the ladder gave way (yes it was beside the rope line hanging down} .
