What’s crazy is when the media put a mark on your name everybody begins to jump on the bandwagon!!!Carmelo anthony can still put up 25 a nite if they gave him the touches!!!!!He still can be a 2 or 3 option on a NBA team..it is sickening how people can really try to tare you down!!!Max never gives Melo no credit..he trying to keep that narrative going about Melo!!Please do your homework when talking about a player..Most people that make these bogus comments about Melo is just jumping on the bandwagon the media have put out there..I been watching Melo play since his Denver days and New York days and I seen him play crazy defense on Kobe ,Lebron and other NBA players….where did this he don’t play defense start from? Carmelo was barely going to play on that team for one and Carmelo at that time probably was still thinking he could be one of the top scorers and leaders of a team. And all honesty he needed that humbling experience to realize the kind of player that he has to be if he still wants to be an NBA player. It seems to have helped him out and he seems to understand now that he’s no longer the guy in the league.
Don’t let facts get in the way though for Stephen a Smith another reason for the media (mainly him) to slander LeBron for no reason and they wonder why he never does interviews with them.
I swear max is only looking at the fact that the nets are much better shooters than the lakers and he doesn’t look at the fact that they barely have defensive players. I think max forgot that defense wins championships.

He’s wrong from what I remember Melo thought he was getting traded to Cleveland in 18, then on Lebron’s 1st year in LA in a post game interview he specifically mentioned that he knew how to use Melo but it wasn’t his call to bring him on.

If there’s anybody (besides CP3) that deserves a ring, it’s Melo and he’s a perfect fit for this Lakers team. When he’s hitting outside shots, it won’t be because Lebron is making him look good because he’s made a living of doing that a majority of his career. On that note, other shooters such as Ray Allen, Kyle Korver, Mike Miller, James Jones or JR Smith didn’t look good just because they played with Lebron since they were already known as 3-point specialists.
The Lakers organization probably denied it because Carmelo burned the Lakers years earlier 🤷

Wer’re *NOT* gonna penalize Jason Kidd for losing in his prime to Kobe & Shaq, then Tim Duncan’s Spurs. He was part of team that beat the Heat for the chip and was on the Redeem Team in 08. He kept proving his greatness in other ways.

They got firepower for sure. But what about defense? LeBron dont defend anymore, RW is very high risk/high reward on defense, and Melo was never known as a good defender. AD seems to be the only good defensive piece here. And he is hurt a lot.
Problem imho is that RW needs the ball in his hand. At least Melo changed his game to be a catch and shoot player in Blazzers. I dnt see how they can win the title against, well constructed teams like Jazz, Bucks, or Nets.
