Julian California – Gold Mine, Apple Pie & More Part 1

Julian California – Gold Mine, Apple Pie & More Part 1

Hello my beloved GLOW family. Welcome to this inaugural episode of GLOW Out and About. I am so excited that we are embarking on this wonderful new journey of exploration together. We are going to travel, learn, and of course eat our way to and thru exciting destinations. Some familiar and some way off the beaten path. I think this first episode at Eagle Mine in the historic mountain town of Julian,California will wet your appetite for more great times together. Mountain Man is the perfect tour guide as he shares the history and story of one of the most significant gold mines in the region. It was really difficult cutting this video down to less than 30 minutes as Mountain Man was a virtual fountain of interesting and quirky information about so many things. But, I think we were able to pull out some of the most interesting points to share. I think you will enjoy this tour as much as I did. Stay tuned next week too as we sample the best apple cider I have ever tasted and apple pie that will make your toes curl it is so good. Take care, and “May your journey be filled with joy and blessings”
Love you all.
Carol

Great video. I lived near Julian for three years, in the mid 70’s but never got around to this mine tour.

It’s interesting how some caves will be constantly cool or warm. Dry or wet. I enjoyed hearing the history on the cave. Thanks for the share.

I used to go to Julian all the time for apple cider. Back in the 60s and 70s they made the cider there in Julian. I never knew about that mine though.

Loved it… its unique how the temp is always consistent under there… I went into a cave attraction in Missouri… 500ft below… cool experience… the stalagmites….and etc. I think gold mines are cool also.
