"Bomb crater." That was a curve ball. I was wondering what kind of processes could have made such a thing until that graphic popped up. Sheltered as my life is, I was not thinking about war or its effects.

try to produce the bacteria eating it and see if it turns to limestone over a billion years

This is something I was always curious on how to make steel or iron from scratch. I just think you should play with it. Maybe do some forging but also try to make some cast iron or something. I know there is a lot to it but I think the acquired knowledge would be great.

Beautiful country where my ancestors are from which in a way I consider my homeland my mothers side are from Germany and my fathers ancestors are from Sweden if I’m not mistaking. So when I see these pictures of the beautiful country side it’s almost as if I’ve seen it before and feel an Intense yearning for! Maybe somehow my very DNA cries out for it! Who knows about these things that have always been mysteries to us. Thank you for the video my friend and I guess I can say my fellow countryman 🇩🇪

Looks a lot like iron pyrite/marcasite nodules. See if the throw a dull sparks by striking with sharp pieces of flint or hitting two together. If you succeed please let me know. Perhaps do a video on that. I think you’ll find they will spark.

So you didn’t find iron then…so I’m looking vids to point me in the direction of identifying natural iron deposits, that’s what I wrote in the search bar, that’s what you wrote on your title but your misleading clickbait bullshit led me to a pointless video which has wasted my time and told me nothing of what I wanted to know….

Those iron ore things are pretty freakin cool!

I am amazed that your english is better than mine, and I’m English. You even know the slang terms that are always the most difficult for foreign speakers.

as someone who has seen a lot of videos on how to smelt properly I can tell you this was very painful to watch.

Keep in mind that iron is flammable and will burn in the presence of oxygen. The normal way of smelting is with silicon flux, the flux and iron ore will melt and most of the impurities and slag will float to the top of the silicon and will also keep the iron from burning, thus producing a mildly refined iron. With the addition of carbon mixed in with the iron in an oxygen deprived environment inside a smelter/foundry, it will create low to high carbon steel. You can even add chromium and nickel and a few other metals to make different grades of stainless steel from it.

I immediately recognised this as ‘limestone country’ so reminiscent of the part of England I originate from.

Why not contact a archiologian Historian and buil an oven together?
maybe with an oven builder?

  29. Wilhelm Beck on July 23, 2023 at 8:18 pm

An ore with a high iron-content – but very low magnetic-response in the ( clearly ) crystallized/natural form, should be of interest to metallurgists/physicists – or not ? ( Beautyfull video-composition btw !

  30. sashav133 on July 23, 2023 at 8:19 pm

You can make wootz/pulad/bulat out of this ore and make an awesome knife from it.

I found dark rocks of about a kilogram each that has a kind of magnetic properties,
its doesn’t really attract of repels but you bring it close you feel a kind of two forces acting simultaneously
when i use my digital multimeter on it i got a resistance reading
I dont have any tools to analyze it more
can someone give more insight on it please

  37. RockvilleMike on July 23, 2023 at 8:27 pm

A serious waste of time in my opinion. If you found enough rocks you could exchange them for brain cells. But anyway excellent violin music track……..

I’ve been to those stone towers, very cool place.

  40. biteaminseed on July 23, 2023 at 8:31 pm

u shoulda climbed up those stone formations.. 🙂 the ones with the doors and bridge .. interesting looking. and yes more videos about the ore to please

  41. Sun Rabbit 🇨🇿 on July 23, 2023 at 8:34 pm

I would NEVER have expected that iron ore is non-magnetic! Or, that heating it will render it magnetic, because if you take a permanent magnet and heat it, it loses its magnetism. Makes no sense.

  42. Rustom Bangash on July 23, 2023 at 8:35 pm

burn all iron and check what u have balance in last pure metal

  43. Grimlock Arts on July 23, 2023 at 8:35 pm

Some of those are likely valuable meteorites

  44. Nick Houck on July 23, 2023 at 8:35 pm

You could try it in a crucible, the slag should separate, or you can try a bloomery type furnace , i think with good ore it will work well

  45. ghost man scores on July 23, 2023 at 8:36 pm

you could cut some great walking sticks.

  48. Myndness on July 23, 2023 at 8:38 pm
