How to write an email that will always be answered! | Guy Katz | TEDxZurich
How to write an email that will always be answered! | Guy Katz | TEDxZurich

Let’s spread the recipe of how to write awesome emails – Every character counts 😉 The Swiss would say I am Israeli, Israelis would say I am German; I guess I am a little bit of both, while also blended with a dash of Arab and a pint of American. First serving in the military as an officer, I have worked for governments, startups, non-profits, consulting companies, and giant companies.
Always on the lookout for the right bit of science mixed with practical tips, I now spend my days optimizing the magical recipe for being a father of two amazing boys, a Professor for International Management & Leadership, the owner of a business training company operating worldwide and teaching people how to fly airplanes. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx

Amazing video
Remember diarrhea? That’s like emails.
You lost me mate.
🐋
Great. Thanks for giving me useful information and techniques 🤗
Although this is a necessity in the digital world out there, some people still do not put in efforts to learn the importance of it. Communication is key and in a work environment and especially during the pandemic, Emails play a vital role. Thank you, Guy. P.S – Good job 🙂
*Spam e-mail companies want to know your location*
The what army? Bruh are you serious
My goodness! I have been waiting for a response from my mail since this morning.
awesome, thanks Guy!
Interesting video….👍
Love it.❤️
Forget the e-mail.
What happened to that corporate guy!?
At work, I just CC their supervisor. Always get a response XD
what is the full form of PS?!
Focus on small things and that make a big difference.
Ooo… excellent thoughts!
1. Say what you want in the subject line.
2. Digital body language = judicious use of emoji and gifs.
3. The Tweet principal = keep it to 140 or less… or call instead.
4. Use their name, spell it right.
5. Bake your email recipe (with above ingredients) to their tastes.
6. One more thing… put the most important thing in the PS and it will linger with the reader.
Hmm… nice one, TED!
I just noticed that you censor comments by deleting them.
I wonder… what else?
I forgot his name was Guy at one point and it just seemed strange he kept referring to people as Guy
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Such an amazing talk full of truths! Thank you Guy for taking the time to share your experience

beautiful stage
Wow
If you put a gif in an e-mail or a presentation I immediately think less of you. Don’t.
Great advice 😊
I like the PS tip.
Until now I was always writing the most important things first, but this looks even more efficient!
AND more friendly.
You forgot the most important point, the sender. If the sender”s email start with a junk name it usually ends up where it belongs 🙄
goood talk bro
Life is about creating and living experiences that are worth sharing. – Steve Jobs

احلي 👍 🌹 رائع جدا
So how can I apply these guidelines in my newsletter?
Should I just drop it entirely because it’s always longer than 140 characters? 🙁
For everyone who is reading this I hope you are happy and staying safe

These tedx talks are getting worse and worse lately.
Yes, spelling names is important. I always worry I will spell my student’s or their parent’s name wrong.
I did get an email from a parent who in their angry spelled their OWN kids name wrong. Was hard to take that email as seriously.
He lost me when he said he trained Israeli soldiers. Idk man…. Something about a genocidal, colonialism, apartheid state is just off!
His phone case and his trousers are the same shade. That’s all, goodbye.
i can’t he sounds like kermit the frog
Very well done, Guy ! I ALWAYS get something out of your classes !
Wonderful tips for those who want to build connection 🌱🌳
“My Father is not having any job"
“I want to do something for my Father".
“But YouTube is not giving me subscriber views".
“Ya I am worse than others……😂😂😂"
Katz knows how to sell stuff.
Read the Bible – old emails written by his ancestors still look very convincing to so many.
This is helpful. However, I can’t help being concerned that this is yet another step in dumbing people down for the sake of capitalism.
Great advice🙂
thank you.
