How To Transfer Photos From Sony WIFI-enabled Cameras To Smartphone
Sony’s a7, a7R, a6000, NEX cameras are WI-FI enabled and allow direct connection from camera to smartphone. Simply enable the camera to become a WIFI hotspot, and use Sony’s “Play Memories” app, and you can directly transfer, even without a nearby WIFI network.

When I take a video and transfer to my amdriod s8plus the video on my phone is showing up as if it’s shrinks. It’s not in full screen .. I set on my sony setting to 16.9 and also wide .. but the photos are normal just my video
How to copy raw images by this method? I tried to copy raw images but when they got copied in my phone., they were in jpeg format. Please help

I went through all the steps. Applications >> Send to smartphone >> This image >> went to my iPhone (7 Plus) settings to connect to my camera’s WiFi, it shows a check mark as if it’s successcully connected (yet still shows LTE being used on my iPhone, not the WiFi symbol); I open PlayMemories app, then nothing happens!

I’ve had my camera for months now it just keeps disconnecting, not allowing me to send my pics/videos. Very frustrating as delayed me been able to start my YouTube channel by almost 6 months. I’ve given up and bought some equipment to start it on my phone. What a waste of money

Any ideas, phone and camera says connecting then goes straight to disconnected after about 3 minutes spinning saying connecting. Using A6000 and Samsung galaxy s8

I love my little collection of sony cameras, but they’re absolutely awful at UX/UI and general usability. There are a thousand protocols that would let it connect to your existing router or via bluetooth, instead of having to create an ad hoc network and disconnect/reconnect/reopen the app — which transfers at painfully slow speeds anyway.

When I do this using the Sony RX10-III and an Android phone, the "copy contents" function doesn’t happen automatically. All I can see is a screen which mirrors that of the camera lens — but what I want is to transfer photos from my camera to my phone! Please help. Thanks so much.
