The Hornet is a remote mining claim in the Red River District in New Mexico. Historical documents suggest a large camp on the claim, indicating gold production.
I recieved something after my father past away, he past away yrs ago,2003 to be exact, yrs ago, I was living in Utah when they called me to tell me my grandma was very sick, so I hoped in a plane and flew from SLC, UT to San Antonio …. I did got to see my grandma alive, she passed like 45 minutes later, on my way back north, I decided to buy a 4×4 truck cause they’re soooo cheap in South Texas, hardly no one uses them ,while I was driving ,somewhere,thru New Mexico , I had to use the toilet and was in the middle of nowhere, so I pulled on the side of the road on a place it had some shrubs, there hardly any shrubs thru that highway due to being a volcanic territory, I stopped and a state patrol car stopped behind me, so I’m an honest dude and told the policeman I had to poop ,and like we where like 1 he away from the closest town on a hardly traveled highway, he laughed about it cause I told him I prefer to be seen taking a poop ,than pooping my shorts, he left, wonderful officer, and after I finish my deal, I decided to stretch my legs and walk around and take pictures, it’s beautiful out there, I saw all the volcanic territory, the dried lava …. it’s wonderful, then I saw a squared black Rock, I collected books and had some that use to fall over all the time and that rock was the perfect size to hold my books, so I grabbed it and stuck it in my pocket and left home, got home and a few weeks later the damn books were tipping over and I remembered that rock I had taken and stuck in da closet, grabbed it and washed it cause it stained my hand black cause of some sort of black ash it had, I scrubbed it with one of those wire things to wash pans,and it started to sort of shine, I freaked out, I scrubbed it and I got no idea what gold looks like but this thing looks like a bar if gold or copper, the weird thing about it, is the place I found it and what the hell was it doing in the middle of the desert and who took it or dropped it or even his it there, I just received it back, I had completely forgotten about this, I had giving it to my father which he past away a while ago and I just started going thru some old crates he had given me and I found this thing there, I don’t now nothing about good, even thou I use to work in a pawn shop in SLC Utah, but in the music department , I read lots of stories of exactly the place I found it, when Pancho Villa use to travel thru, and is well documented, that same territory after he was like stealing stuff and taking it back to Mexico, then I read about some story that states that years ago ,not sure in Mexican coins were minutes in the USA or vice versa , and that was the exact place where there use to travel with all the prime materials for the coins to be minted …. I’m now disabled,49 , I’ve sent this bar of something to other dudes that claim to treasure hunt, which I respect, but I send them the pic and just by looking at the pic they tell me it’s fake …. I don’t know anything about this stuff, but even if it’s fake, it’s interesting where I found it, in the middle of nowhere in new Mexico, I’ve always been tempted of going back with a metal detector , but I don’t drive, due to a stroke, but if you are interested in seeing this thing, I’ll send you pictures, not sure if it’s copper or gold, I just got it back months ago and you’re the second person I’ve actually want to see this, the few persons that seen it are amazed, except that last dude , so if y’all interested in seeing it, drop me an email where I can send yall sum pics …. maybe it’s interesting enough to go back and take a look, I don’t remember exactly the place, cause it was like close to 30 yrs ago, but I do have a slight idea on where it can be if not I’ll we’ll be really close to it ….. thank you for your time, Since. I’ve prospected throughout the Red River District, it’s a beautiful area and one of the few areas in the New Mexico Sangre de Cristo where there’s decent 4WD public road access to the backcountry.
How did the Assay go from this site? Also, are you still making these mine review / sale videos ? I really enjoy watching them because you show the history and potential for new owners.
