“Golden Rhoades” – the Historical Hunt for the Legendary Lost Rhoades Mines. This film superbly documents the epic search and potential discovery of one of the largest hidden treasures in America. A secret cache believed by many to contain a wealth of gold and natural resources; it has been suggested that the mines may contain an abundance of riches that could cover the national debt. The Rhoades Mines’ protected location is believed (speculated) to have been provided to the Mormon church by the Ute Indians in order for the church to survive its difficult pioneering into Utah. The film delves into the myth, fact, and fiction surrounding an amazing tale of adventure, treasure maps, mysterious deaths, and intriguing characters. It provides details and clues to the mines that have eluded thousands of prospectors for over one hundred and fifty years. The film was shot (much in confidential locations) throughout the vast Ute Indian Territory and surrounding Utah Rocky Mountains. Ha Ha. I live less than a mile from this mine. I’ve been in it. It’s an old coal mine. There’s about ten in a small area around there. They bulldozed most of them in cause kids like myself kept going in them. Interesting but not a lost Rhoades mine. I did my fair share of looking for those mines when I was younger. The coal mining ended in this area in the 1930’s…

Fiction, but lost conveniently justifies a continuing parade of actors voicing hope and skepticism, the perfect environment for the forest service to have ranger Tom Flanagan, coached by his superior, to claim in the park city park record newspaper that there is no record of th Spanish being in the Uintah or any gold
well the story goes the mine has a v shaped opening and the entrence apeared closed off but you could just slip in the crack but thats just a story i read any how the mine was suposibly by jhonson canyon by the white cliffs 3 milles by deer creek but who knows i would like to go check the area iff i ever get the money and time. Im looking for lode gold to i havent went out after it just yet ive been studying a bout it.
I have a friend whose family Rhoads spent the nights with on his journey from salt lake city and back each time he went out there. That was near Kamas. Rhoads only stayed with families that got along with the Utes.
Another Discover Channel or National Geographic style video bought to show gullible folk a few facts, and a lot of talking head hot air. Not so cool to show a guy not paying attention, then falling on cactus spines.
I found one of the gold mines. I spent many years searching for it and found it at a small rock outcropping about 200 ft up from a lake. I found the mummies, gold bars stacked from floor to ceiling. The Ute guy I was with told me not to touch anything. He turned around and I grabbed a few gold bars. This was back in 2010. I’m still alive and $2M richer.

If these guys are relating gold to fault lines, how about if we reverse that and use gold recovery locations to plot Fault zones…..?!
My great-aunt had a bag of Rhoades gold in the 1920s+, and no one in the family will admit to knowing where it is.
This is like 20 years ago. Most of these people are dead
30 years looking for gold and that’s the truck you end up with? I would get another career.

Says the guy who added a video to his account that reads "Natural VS Synthetic THC"
Haha.
You can’t find the mine because the Indians cover them up the holes are so small you can barely fit in them
