I like all the gems that is found in Colorado.😊💖💎 I think its sweet to honor the dog who find a mine.💎🐶Nice video and please continue talking about gemstones around America.🙂💎🦅🇺🇸
You left out the Mt. Antero aquamarine!!! 😐😜👋🌎✌️👊
I would have went to college if I’d have known how kewl Geology was when I was younger. I lobe this channel. I would love a job with you guyz and galz. Stellar work here. Thank you! From Montana!
Hearing about Mt. Antero gave me nostalgia of the show, "Prospectors". It was a mining show on the Weather Channel that focused around different families rockhounding at different localities in Colorado.
What about aquamarine-thought that came from Colorado?
Love your gems across America. I was wondering if you could do one about Kansas
Rhodocrosite is so beautiful. Pinkish, reddish with creamy swirls.
I loved the fun fact effect, this editor has my sense of humor
Yes I’ve been waiting for this episode
Awesome!! Here’s some fun facts!
Another cool Mineral in Colorado is a telluride known as Coloradoite, also known as mercury telluride, is a rare telluride ore associated with metallic deposit. Gold usually occurs within tellurides, such as coloradoite, as a high-finess native metal. The quest for mining led to the discovery of telluride ores which were found to be associated with metals.
Also Rhodochrosite can have cat’s eye chatoyancy and so far one has been found with 4 Ray asterism. Rhodochrosite can be found inside stalactites 😀
Amazonite can have cat’s eye chatoyancy and one has been found with 6 Ray asterism! 😀
Its interesting knowing how Smokey quartz is found and how it became that. There’s also a Variety known as Morion Quartz which is a very dark to black quartz. Also Smokey quartz and morion can have cat’s eye chatoyancy and 4 or 6 Ray asterism. Their star is usually very sharp like blades of light
Anyway also very fun video 🙂
Oh I LOVE rhodochrosite! Partly because it’s a Romanian discovery, and a very beautiful one at that. Some other discoveries from my country are veszelyite and cyanotrichite… and all the unimpressive tellurates and tellurides of gold and silver and copper.
Colorado also seems to be rich in ammonium minerals from what I’ve seen, my all-time favorite of which is ammoniomathesiusite because it’s so, so vibrant (color gained from its uranyl ions.)
Ohhh minerals and their "rarity". If you like barite I got you. The stuff is common rock where I live (Ontario). Actually I’m 99% sure it is or was previously mined in my hometown. Barite, celestine(celestite, strontium ore) and fluorite can be seen in our rock outcrops growing together. Mineral buddies. 💕
Colorado is pretty cool
No aquamarine??
Geology in CO is huge. There are exposed layers that are around 5billion years old, and subsequent ages all the way to the present. All 3 forms of rock are represented within a few short miles.
Love it!!! ❤❤❤❤
All crystals in this video :
