While doing anything use a little common sense, don’t attempt anything that appears to be beyond this old mans abilities, like shooting rapids or repelling down a cliff…

Ok I don’t even know what to say. What I do know is its not this Fenn guys fault. People have died looking for treasure since forever. They have died looking for that lost mine in the Superstitious mountains, or sunken treasure ships, etc… How many have died in that stupid well on that island. This Fenn guys whole point was to get people out to enjoy nature, and he has said repeatedly that it is hidden somewhere an 80 year old man could get to. Is there a treasure who knows and who cares, its something to do, an adventure. People get hurt and killed skiing all the time and right now I am watching skiing at the Olympics.

Forrest Fenn is the only who set up a memorial for all 5 searchers who died looking for his treasure and left electronic flowers for them. . EpitaphWriter

He’s responsible for littering. The guys who died are the ones responsible for their deaths.

I agree with Forrest. It’s not his fault people died searching. Everything we do in life is met with the chance of dying. Death is part of life.

Maybe one of the easier mega mountains to climb around but still dangerous

people are so stupid. Forrest Fenn generously hides millions in treasure to get people out in nature, family time, fresh air, exercise, add some spice to life and idiots keep talking about "the deadly treasure", oooooooooo scary. Bunch of morons. over 40K people die every year in the US in road crashes. That’s over 100 people per day. 200 per day die from drug overdoses in the US. hundreds die annually hiking, backpacking. 50 lightning fatalities per year in the US. That must be Forrest’s fault too.

The treasure is the beauty of the mountains and parks. There is no gold. Its a metaphor. Anyone can find the beautiful national parks.

Some people obviously overestimate their abilities and they overestimate as to how hard it is to get to Fenn’s tresaure. Fenn said it is not that hard, even children can find it.

  29. BULLITT on June 24, 2022 at 6:31 pm

Nor should you. The California Gold Rush probably cost the lives of 100,000 men. I have seen the pictures of the dead lying in the snow as others pass by in summer clothes up snow covered mountains?? CALIFORNIA SUCKS.
