Forrest Fenn, Treasure Provider, Dies At 90

Famed Southwest art dealer Forrest Fenn has passed away at age 90 of natural causes as reported by the Santa Fe New Mexican. Forrest gained worldwide notoriety when in 2010 he announced he had hidden a $1 million treasure somewhere in the Rocky Mountains and had left clues to it’s location in a poem published in his memoirs. Earlier this year it was reported that after ten years in hiding, an anonymous man had found Fenn’s treasure, now estimated to be worth over $2 million. Forrest strongly believed the real treasure though was families getting to spend time together in nature. All of us here at The Indy-pendent Experience wish him God Speed.

Is he, or will he be buried at the treasure site? Didn’t he say before that he would like to be buried there?

Thanks for the update. He lived a good life. I wonder if we will hear that he has one more treasure hunt for us all that will be released by his wife at his request 🤔. Thanks for sharing, good luck, happy hunting and take care.
