The search for a hidden treasure that TODAY has reported on for years seems to have finally come to an end: Someone has apparently claimed the multimillion-dollar treasure that art collector Forrest Fenn hid in the Southwest nearly a decade ago, leaving clues in a poem. NBC’S Gadi Schwartz (who hunted the treasure himself) reports.

I don’t understand anyone who thinks that the treasure search was unfair. There was never any promise made that it was either fair or unfair. No one paid to be eligible to enter the search. Anyone who made the search spent their own money or even died (sadly) did so entirely of their own accord. The outdoors can be beautiful or it can be dangerous. That’s life.
The majority of the people who heard about this search didn’t drop everything and spend their last dime looking for the treasure. People really need to take responsibility for their own actions concerning this search.
(Any treasure-seeker who regrets that they didn’t find the treasure are missing the intended point: the experience, the location and the search itself were the true treasures. The video I’ve seen of the search locations has been breathtaking and I’d love to someday see those places.)

I would like to outline my solution to the riddle in a few words: The starting point of the search "where warm waters halt" mentioned in the poem is the confluence of the "Boiling River" and the Yellowstone River. The end point of the search and location of the treasure is the canyon of "Osprey Falls". The "home of Brown" is Bunsen Peak. The "Brown" stands for the bears at Bunsen Peak. If you still want to bother now, you can compare the information in the poem with videos of the Boiling River and Osprey Falls and will see that it corresponds completely. So the solution is relatively simple.
