Thanks Mike. This is my favorite location because of my family’s connection to the mine. My grandfather was a supervisor at the mine, and sadly his mineral collection was swiped by someone after his passing (probably family but nobody will admit to it). My mother had some minerals including turquoise that she passed on to me though. My Dad’s family knew the Browns and did some work for them, and that may be why they have a bit of turquoise, but that’s harder to trace. Over the years I’ve collected and cut as much Morenci as I can.
