Back in the day (80’s) it was rumored that there was a Grower that grew weed in diamond valley and if he caught you ripping off his plants he would brand you RIP OFF on your forehead ! It was over in the area of the mine

I hiked to the mine back in the late 70’s early 80’s when I was about 10 yrs old
    I’m 50 now
    Nice seeing it again
I remember throwing rocks in it and how they would spark off the walls like flint or ?

    Where is that located

They were actually mining for gold as the quartz wasn’t their goal when this was actively mined.
But the quartz sure is a nice
    by-product to collect.

That pile of rock that’s at the end of the mine is actually covering a severed shaft that you can climb down into an actual large room if you will unfortunately you kind of have to slide through it and and it wouldn’t be a good idea to do so because there is a dragon guarding more gold, silver, jewels, and diamonds than you would know what to do with anyway. ⛏💁‍♂️

My grandpa on my mom’s side had family in Hemet, California. His mom, brothers, and sisters all lived in Hemet (other than his oldest sister who also lived in Texas, about 70 miles away from us in Fort Worth area). Every year we’d drive from Texas to California when I was a kid to visit them. We’d stop in Vegas on the way there and back which was the highlight of the trip, but we’d spend 4 or 5 days in Hemet. I don’t really remember much about it, though, other than my grandpa’s moms house and a couple of his neices and nephew’s houses. I doubt I’d even recognize the place if you dropped me off downtown and didn’t tell me that it was Hemet. Id like to visit there again one day. I still have family there, but they’re all distant family that I wouldn’t even recognize if I seen. I remember those trips from my childhood pretty fondly, though. Probably all sorts of things in Hemet like this yall are showing that I have absolutely no clue about. Interesting video!

Wow! Almost 6 years ago now! You guys were pretty young; I’ll bet this is a great video to look back on and remember! Are you still exploring?
Great editing job! I know you were young, and you did a good job considering that, but looking back, would you have done anything differently?
    Thanks for the video!

They didn’t mine quartz there. It was a gold vein. Be very careful last time I went in there I was about 25 feet in and almost stepped on a coiled up rattlesnake.
