They have trucks that have big industrial vaccumes. The vacs suck up rock and boulders , but i bet it will suck that water out. They are rentable for the day or week. Giant rock vacuums on the back of trucks.

Does any of the nearby mines have flooding issues too?

It is not wise to Claim old Mine Sites as you are now responsible for all Reclamation Costs, especially should BLM or Forest Service decide that your Mine poses a Hazard or just because they want you gone. Before Pumping out the Water you will need several permits or face large fines and in some States even jail time, at minimum you need to contact your State’s Department of Environmental Quality and get a Wastewater Discharge Permit, operating without one here in my state will get you a $50,000 Fine for the first offense. Take it from a retired Lode Miner that Underground Mining is a Thousand times more expensive than that of Placer Mining so do not Bank on an unproven Lode Venture and be sure to operate with a Valid Plan of Operation and Post a Reclamation Bond or be prepared to lose your ass and end up on food stamps or worse in Jail. There are alot of Uranium Mines in that District so I’d suggest you get a Geiger Counter ASAP and my best advice is to Never Work Alone! Not trying to scare you but Miner to Miner you deserve the Sound Advice. Good Luck Kid!

you could always use the water to your benefit.you could pump it into huge tanks IE holes dug into the ground.with cheap plastic liners.dont they use water in gold mining?there’s a lot of uses for water out there.

Hard hats, boots, O2 meter, who needs safety stuff when there is only 90 feet of rock over your heads?

  11. Perry Johnson on April 29, 2020 at 5:39 pm

Nice mine, I love the flip flops. can you pump out the water? or is that creating a structure issue? if you don’t find much material at least you can say you have a "Man cave" keep the clips coming.

Deep water well pump for that depth looking at a three phase 5 hp or higher
And depending on how fast you want to de water the mine and in flow from source of water
More than one pump is needed

Ps I would use HDPE type black tubing and not pvc

Just my humble opinion. Good luck

I can help you get the water out. I have experience with pumps and plumbing from Alaska where I worked for the seafood processing plants. if your location is remote it would be advisable to use solar power to run the pumps. what kind of pump is needed will depend on how much water per hour must be pumped.

    This might be interesting

A well driller told me you need 1 hp per 100 foot.
All I can say is use a trash pump to see what you got. Once you drained it. Re-evaluate your pump needs.
I mean, it been 80 years to fill up to where it is. It may refill completely in 1 day, or it may take several years and a lot of rain.
If you want help mucking it out let me know. I just want some paydirt along the way, and a place to put my camper while I help.

I own patented claims in Union Pass and Oatman districts. See Table III on page 72 in this PDF http://repository.azgs.az.gov/sites/default/files/dlio/files/2010/u14/Bull_131_Oatman_OCR_0.pdf
it’s the phases/characteristics of quartz deposits from that area. What district is your claim in?

Maybe gather some ore samples of the oxidized rocks and have them tested for minerals. Stay safe out there please get safety gear.
