When people first arrive in the west, many dug into a hill and made a dugout kind of house. My ancestors did and wrote about it. They were poor and had little money or valuable things. You should expect to find nothing of value or hidden caches of coins, etc. Better to just show things found of historical value, then donate it to the nearest small town museum.

Finding things is no problem since you usually dig all sorts of stuff up. Finding what anyone would call treasure isn’t the point of it, though. Doing it is the fun and that makes finding something of real, hard value just icing on the cake sometimes.
Im so jealous i got a metal detector but have nobody i knows like to metal detect or treasure hunt here in utah where there is so much history it sucks to go by urself but i do but i do enjoy ur videos keep postin
that location looks amazing….I can kind of relate to you guys.. I used to live in NZ and went on a few 4×4 trips… On one of those trips we stumbled upon a very old cemetery, just there in the middle of nowhere
