Dog Walker Injured, Pups Unharmed After Hit and Run: Cops
A dog walker was the victim of a hit-and-run according to authorities in California, who are now looking for the driver of that vehicle. It happened in the city of Westminster around 6 in the morning. Police released video of the incident, but stopped it just before the moment of impact. Cops say she was rushed to the hospital with injuries to her face. She is in critical but stable condition. The dogs were not hit by the SUV. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

According to the video the dog walker has few seconds to restrain her first dog and herself from thrusting forward. It doesn’t look like she was watching for the car until it was near. The driver, on the other hand is probably DWI.

Im glad she is okay but she needs to smarten up.
That’s so lucky she at least got home without hurting her brain or an important part like her neck. I usually come home safely when walking my dog, until one day my dog got attacked by a pit bull, but luckily my dog survived, and that was a true blessing, hope everyone is doing well 😀
I feel bad for the lady, especially when the driver didn’t stop to check on her. But after watching the video multiple times, I say what happened was both HER fault as well as the lead dogs fault. Though maybe mostly the lead dogs fault. She had plenty of time to STOP walking BEFORE she got in the path of the car, and drag the lead dog back to the curb with the other two dogs, then it looks like at the last second either SHE started running like she thought she could outrun the car, or lead dog #1 yanked her forward into the path of the car before she could stop the dog
Hope she will recover fully…it may be some comfort to her that her dogs were uninjured. I can’t understand how someone can run over someone, & just not stop to render assistance, call 911…just keep on going !!
I quit walking my dog years ago on the street because motorists don’t pay attention to pedestrians crossing the street in my neighborhood, even if there’s a STOP SIGN 🛑 telling drivers to do just that.
Another reason why car dependency and wide roads that encourage speeding is bad…
Out walking my dog and saw a car pass another on a 2 lane rd, in my neighborhood…he barely made it over before the road curved sharply, he could have easily caused a head on collision!!!!

Sounds like that driver was "Distracted". I hope they find them and lock them up, impound the car and revoke their license. This was completely avoidable and not to stop and render aid should be extra jail time!

Whether there is a stop 🛑 sign or not and even if I as a pedestrian stopped at the stop sign, most drivers will not slow down nor stop at the stop sign. My son who was in a bicycle crossed the street after looking both way and out of nowhere from the corner came a car flying through the stop sign almost hitting my son. Many times, my spouse, my kids and I have so many incidents where we almost got hit by a car due to drivers don’t want to slow down and or stop at the stop signs. They’re not even drunk either. They’re just selfish and act like they’re going to be late to get home to eat or shower or sleep or use their phones or just to do nothing. Pretty sad. Smh

She ran right in front of the car, wtf🙄 None of the dogs were going to get hit. Glad she didn’t suffer major injuries but you have to question her intelligence. I hope they catch the scum driving the car asap. Our society is despicable nowadays.

I was in a hit and run & the guy who committed it wasnt even charged with anything. in California you have a certain amount of time to report your hit and run & you can get away with it.

There is still around 10 meter beetween them and the car, why not just avoid crossing the road a stepback rather than running towards a 5 meter long crosswalk?
I’m making this comment after i replay the scene many times to assure that it is the lady decision to make the run.
The one that drove the car is human, not robot that doesn’t have an error.

In Europe we have number plates both on the back and the front. If that was the case in the USA it would be easier to catch this person as it would’ve been visible on the video.
