I feel like he is forcing the songs to be "upbeat" so hard. I miss the melancholic melodies, the instruments. It seems like the message gets lost in trying to be uplifting. I want this feeling back that his songs speak a language I was never able to express that speaks to my soul. All the best to you, but I’ll keep listening to the old ones. This is just not giving me anything.

In the meantime I will just continue listening to the old poetry you have blessed us with like For island fires and family, Boston, and after rain etc. I had these poems on repeat for last 3 years and honestly will never get tired of it so if this is it then it was more than enough and it helped me it through the toughest days.
