That’s about 45,000 ounces of copper for every ounce of silver!

  6. Edward Austin on January 24, 2021 at 4:19 am

It’s hard to keep up with you Jeff. You are always busy. I just stumbled upon this video. It’s one of my favorites from you. Thanks for this. I learned alot.

I must not be a very good geology student. The guide said that the white rocks are quartz and don’t contain anything. I thought you said in one of your videos that quartz often contains gold?

they use nonelectric time blasting caps starting 0 to 18. I doubt if that guy has ever lit fuses like that because he would probably be over 100 years old.

Next summer, I’m backpacking around Isle Royale, MI. There’s an ancient copper mine I want to see with the purest copper _known_ on earth, with wood tool handles with a carbon dated age of 5,700 years.
I’m primarily going to be looking for chlorastrolite and Lake Superior agate, but they’re illegal to remove from the island, so I’m just going to take pictures of them and leave them there. 😉

Really cool tour but I would jump off of the train and have a real good explore of the mine on foot. I have one of those muckers. Really cool it is called a Rocker shovel and runs on compressed air!

The first lumberyard in Arizona was built by the Wood family, about 1898. It was there for the mine company "Phelps Dodge Company" to acquire oak timbers to shore up walls and overhead areas where needed in the 2500+ miles of underground mines. Built next to the Lavender Pit which was an open mining pit.

Hi from Cornwall (UK) home of Tin mining. The knockers exist here too (i wonder if the term came from the UK?). Miners throw pasty crusts over here

Who names their child Ask lmao.

  38. Gamez 'N' Muzic on January 24, 2021 at 4:51 am

Wow this was just amazing! I don’t think I ever tanked you so thank you Jeff for all this that you do. Many don’t know how much work it takes to make these videos. You (and slim) do such a great job, panning the camera around to let us feel like were there.
We have a saying in the oilfield, "that was back when men were made of steel and the equipment was wooden." Today this generation could never do this kind of work. Just watching a show like yukon gold or gold rush will demonstrate that.

  39. Dean Charles on January 24, 2021 at 4:51 am
