Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado contain some of the richest mines that the Spaniards ever mined. Too bad they were all covered and camouflaged by the Indians shortly after the Pueblo Revolt of 1680 sent the Spaniards running for their lives. Most of the Spanish mines in the Southern reaches of New Mexico and Arizona have been found by the Americans that flooded the area back in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Any mines that might be left are either too dangerous to reach, (Cliff Face) or are just buried too well. In any event, happy DREAMING!
